A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending Disney’s Unwrap the Magic press event. With that came a 2-night stay at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort and you guys, are you serious????
I haven’t popped into this property in quite some time. Years, actually. I remember visiting Dolphin quite a bit when my Dad would have conferences and bring us kids along. This Resort has a bit more of an adult feel in that you won’t find an incredibly vibrant lobby and the sweet little features that we associate with Disney.
But that’s a good thing, you know? Granted the 8-year old in me doesn’t mind vibrant colors, a character breakfast and Mickey calling my room phone to wake me up but for those who want a bit of a refined experience while also checking out the parks, I think Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort is perfect.
Are you confused by the name? Don’t be. They are 2 properties and while they’re like fraternal twins, they both offer something special whether you’re visiting for work or for fun.
And honestly, I don’t care which hotel you visit on or near Walt Disney World. You’re going to have an incredible time – especially during the holiday season. You’ve got special features like…
Santa and Mrs. Claus Meet & Greet. Santa is dressed up in his Floridan gear. Definitely something you HAVE to see.
Bedtime Elf Tuck-Ins – I soooo wish this was going on when I was there. An elf comes delivering treats and reads your little one a bedtime story? How adorable!
Dancing Light Show
Fun and exciting holiday entertainment
The Rooms
Like to keep it simple?
These rooms are all about simplicity while offering great views and uhhhhh…HGTV worthy bathroom areas.
I couldn’t get enough of that backsplash.
If you’re really just wanting some downtime in between conferences, meetings and the excitement of park hopping, you’ll be incredibly comfortable. It’s the best of both worlds because if you want the quiet and relaxing experience, you’ve got it. If you want jam-packed days of activities without leaving the property, you’ve got it!
To the Parks, We Go!
Bub and I checked in and immediately after unwinding, we ran back downstairs to head to the parks.
Disney Transportation is top notch in that if you’re staying near the parks, chances are getting to the parks couldn’t be easier. The shuttle buses are timely, efficient always so much fun to hop on.
We headed to Magic Kingdom where we spent a few hours having a blast. I’m shocked at how confident I was at taking an infant to Magic Kingdom by myself but we both had sooooo much fun.
Consider Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort whether you’re a local or planning a family or business trip here in the Orlando area. I’ll definitely be back! I’m thinking it’ll be the perfect place for a solo staycation
Keep up with all things Swan and Dolphin by following them all over the net!

FTC Disclosure: While my room was apart of a press visit, I was not paid for this post or obligated to write about this resort. I just felt like I had to because uh…it was that fabulous!
