Here at PCA Predict we are quite pleased with ourselves as we have been nominated for three separate industry awards and remain quietly confident that we may have to make some room on our trophy shelf.

With so much exposure over Great Britain’s medal tally in the Rio 2016 Olympics and the Paralympics just around the corner, we are justifiably excited over the prospect of winning a trio of virtual medals.

Award nominations are important to us as often they enable us to chart our progress as a developing business to gauge exactly how far we have come. It is also very gratifying to see what other businesses have been nominated and the ones we will ultimately be competing against.

Nominated in the Digital Business of the Year category in the Digital Entrepreneur awards PCA Predict will be competing with other UK companies who are being recognised for online business excellence.

PCA Predict has also been nominated for the prestigious Retail Systems Awards, which are now in their 11th year and celebrate technical excellence and innovation within the retail sector. Tesco, Virgin Media and MasterCard are just a few of the well- known super brands included in the awards line up.

Our president Guy Mucklow believes that the awards are something that everyone at PCA Predict can take great pride in. He said: “It is sometimes easy to forget progress, so being shortlisted for prominent industry awards helps us to set important milestones on our company’s achievements, but also gives us a reason for celebrating the tremendous efforts that our staff have put into building our service.

“With over 40% of the top 500 UK ecommerce businesses now using PCA Predict in their checkout, we have come a very long way over the last 16 years.”

The third award that we have been recognised for is the DBM (Database Marketing) Awards in the Innovation in Analytics for Marketing category. The DBM awards celebrate the role that data insight play in business. Other notable nominees in the line-up include Sport Relief, SightSavers and TalkTalk.

Award ceremonies for the three events will be taking place in the autumn at venues in London and Manchester. Needless to say that some of us will be brushing down our dinner jackets, pressing our white shirts and practising the intricate bow tie knot that has eluded modern man for decades. To practise an acceptance speech may be just a little too optimistic!
