One of my favorite things about getting together for the holidays is the food. I love sitting down for a nice meal and catching up with family and friends. This year I wanted to have a festive tablescape for our special dinner. I wanted the setting to be classic and timeless. I went to Crate and Barrel and picked up a few items and I am so happy with the outcome.
At first I was not sure what direction I was going to go with the decor but everything changed when I saw these amazing “Joy” Dessert Plates. I knew I had to have them. They are so gorgeous and added the perfect pop of color.
After I got the “Joy” Plates I wanted to use classic white dishes and then add a red napkin to accent the “Joy” dessert plate. The next element I found were these Grasscloth White Placemats. They are beautiful, and the texture of them are rich looking. The placemat makes the place setting look complete. I paired the white dishes and the joy dishes with this Stainless Steel Charger Plate. Chargers make all the difference in the world. They can dress up any place setting and these stainless steel charger plates are timeless.
For the centerpiece of the table I used some fabric that I had and just cut a long piece to use as my runner and then I layered the center with two six-foot long fresh garland that I had picked up at my local health food store. I draped the garland off the end of the table and I am in love with the look of it. Then, I layered the greenery with three of these Flocked Snow Branches. The branches added such great texture.
I continued the silver theme and got two of these breathtaking Large Silver Mercury Curved Pillar Candle Holder and I got two of the Small Silver Mercury Curved Pillar Candle Holder. I placed a classic white candle on top and added a pop of color by adding a red candle rings that I already had.
I wanted to add more candles because I loved the look of them. I already had some plain candles stick holders that I added to the table but I wanted to add some more red. I got these awesome Large Taylor Glass Hurricane Candle Holders and by adding cranberries and a white candle it add the perfect amount of red to complement to the other red I already had.
I really love every element of the tablescape. Everything that I got from Crate and Barrel I can use for other dinner parties throughout the year and I also use it as decor in my house if I am not using it for a dinner. I look forward to the laughs and memories this holiday season. Happy Holidays!
