As a hobbyist reelmaker here in the U.S., I have always adhered to the AFFTA reel foot standard, which calls for an intermediate diameter (17.8 mm = 0.70 inch). Does either of your sizes make a fit to an AFFTA foot? Is there an alternate standard that you observe?

Thank you Dave,
just to be clear the ID was for the screw barrel, not the sliding band and was was made for a chap who is using an old English reel with a very thick reel foot. You'd be best to stick to a standard if you don't have a reason to depart from it.
To answer your question, though, the reel seats I make adhere to the AFFTA standard, just not this one.
