I've posted a few photos of this in varying degrees of construction. Basically I finished the bodey two years ago and never got around to attaching a neck etc. till the past couple weeks. So though I would finish it up and put it up for sale rather than keep moving the body around the shelving! It's built by the GAL plan but modified a little. All Martin design bracing system but with a walnut bridge patch. I also decided to get creative (I wasn't drinking) on the fret markers to satisfy any potential lover of fret markers who may want to convert this to a steel string, which, I have been told, this guitar could handle light gauge steel. Or just keep it gut/nylon like I have it set up! The markers are "Chinese Turquoise" (from LMI) and actually looks quite nice. The guitar is red spruce french polished top, walnut back and sides finished with Waterlox, neck is mahogany, finished with Waterlox. Tuners are pre 1920 type. Bone nut and saddle. Head plate is Prima Vera as is the finger rest, both finished with Waterlox. Rosette is Birch surrounded with abalone. End graft is also Birch. Binding is figured maple. Bridge pins are Bloodwood with abalone dots. Finger rest is above the top plate by abou 3 mm, not attached to the top. The finger board is elevated to about 4 mm at the top of the rosette. I decided to include the finger rest for any players who might might get in the mood to play some jazz and miss their archtop... the finger board is a 20 inch radius. I have also inserted a two way truss rod, accessible from the heel block area.

Width at the nut: 47 mm
Width at the 12th: 60 mm
Lower bout: 330 mm
Upper bout: 240 mm
Waist: 198 mm

Depth at tail block: 107 mm

The guitar is perfect for Sor meets Jobim... or, given the obvious Southwest slant, (can you tell I live in New Mexico?) Giuliani meets Roy Rodgers...
