We are excited to team up with over 65+ bloggers who share the same beliefs as we do and invite you to see a film entitled “Meet The Mormons”. Everyone in the photo below all belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, otherwise known as “The Mormon Church”.
Forrest and I were both born into LDS families. However, throughout our lives and different experiences we each have had, we’ve come to gain our own testimonies of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We aren’t perfect, nor do we claim to be, but we do our best.
Some people will say Mormons are weird. But really, aren’t most people kind of weird? Honestly though, here’s the thing, we probably have more in common than you might think!
We are born into this world, just like everyone else.
We fall in love.
We have babies (okay, maybe more babies than most.)
We go to college.
We experience joy and sadness. Triumphs and failures. We experience the highest highs, and the lowest lows (okay, I’ll stop with cliche phrases.) We may be a peculiar people, and even when similarities start to part, the most important thing we have in common with you is that we are all God’s children.
My testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ hasn’t come without trials of faith, and it’s always growing and changing as I go through different stages in my life. However, in the end, I know that Christ lives, and that we have a loving Heavenly Father. I know that families are meant to be together for eternity, and that this life on earth is just a small part of our journey. I know that God loves all His children, and that He still speaks with us today. I believe that, just in the days of the Bible, there are living prophets on the earth today who are God’s mouthpiece and continually receive revelation to help guide us through this life. Isn’t that a wonderful thing? I sure think so. While members of the church are not perfect, I believe that the doctrine is. I have a simple testimony, but I know it’s true.
Sometimes I worry about sharing our beliefs too much on here, because I really don’t want people to think that we believe we are better than them . However, as our blog has grown, we’ve realized that “hiding” our beliefs isn’t possible, even if we wanted to (which we don’t!) Being members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is part of who we are, and I hope that if anything, getting to know our family through our blog will improve (and not hurt!) what you think of Mormons.
People sometimes wonder why LDS people are so eager to share our beliefs with them. While I can’t speak for everyone, I know that when I look back on my life so far, the greatest joys that I have experienced have come directly from living the principles and doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I feel selfish to keep that joy to myself, and I have a desire to share it with anyone who may be seeking for more truth and joy in their life.
I have many friends who have different beliefs than I do, and I would imagine most of our readers here on Clarks Condensed aren’t members of our church. And that’s okay! If you are happy with where you are in your life, then that’s just great. In a recent session of General Conference, Elder Dallin H. Oaks said, “We should love all people, be good listeners, and show concern for their beliefs.” And I believe it’s important to do that. I respect all beliefs and viewpoints, and I would hope you all feel the same way!

I have seen the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon transform people’s lives. It’s worked miracles in my own life and those around me. Just send me an email!
And now, I’d like to introduce a documentary that is being released today, for anyone who’s curious about our faith (and no, I am not being paid, nor have I been asked by the church to promote this film!) I honestly can’t wait to see this movie. From what I’ve been told, it’s incredibly inspiring and uplifting, regardless of what faith you are.
Meet the Mormons is a documentary which highlights six members of our church and shows how the teachings of Christ have impacted their lives. The movie is not intended to convince anyone that we are right and they are wrong. It is simply to get a glimpse into the lives of LDS/Mormon people on a more personal level and provide entertainment and understanding.
It will be in movie theaters across the world (starting today, October 10th). In the U.S. theaters such as Regal, AMC, and Cinemark will be showing this feature film in select locations. We hope you take the opportunity to enjoy this film. Also, all proceeds from the film will be donated to The American Red Cross. We invite you to see it this weekend or sometime soon!
