The glory of the dance. It is a way of communicating that everyone can participate in, but like our famous musicians and poets throughout time, there exist masters of the art. The men and women in this video, part of a larger series of travel videos and adventure videos, are true masters of dance. But they don’t hole their art up in some theatre, they’re (as the Doobie Brothers song goes) taking it to the streets.
The city of Yerevan is a historic city in Armenia. Its rich history may be the inspiration for plenty of travel videos and adventure videos, but this video brings its streets alive through dance that is both modern and pays homage to the city itself. Its as if the people dancing were plants that can only grow in the climate of Yerevan. Each dancer brings their own style, yet despite dancing in different locations, the video somehow works as a whole as if it were one long varied dance.
