Coople

Coople, the on-demand staffing platform, has appointed Jacques de la Bouillerie as its new UK managing director. Jacques joins Coople with over 15 years’ extensive experience with business transformation and leadership in companies at various stages of development, ranging from very early stage through to fast growing to maturity. He was previously heading up operations, technology and business development at Renault Retail Group UK, before moving to e-commerce marketplace Groupon where, as COO for Northern Europe, he led the operational transformation and restructuring of the business, shifting Groupon’s business model from a daily deal business to a marketplace model.

Brewin Dolphin

Independent private client wealth management firm Brewin Dolphin has appointed Louise Shaw and Nicholas Regan as divisional directors in the London office. Louise joins Brewin Dolphin after nine years at Kleinwort Benson where she was a client director. Nicholas has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector, and joins from BNP Paribas where he was head of Asian equities in Europe. He previously held a similar role at Credit Suisse, prior to starting his career in fund management.

EY

EY has appointed Boaz Goren as an executive director to further strengthen the firm’s tax controversy and risk management team in the UK. Boaz will lead EY’s direct tax litigation service and work alongside the firm’s tax investigations and controversies business. Boaz is a qualified solicitor with over 15 years of experience working with UK and international clients in both public and private sector organisations. He was previously a tax litigation solicitor at both KPMG and PwC Legal.

CoInvestor

CoInvestor, the new alternative assets platform for private investors, has appointed Sam Plumptre, an existing board member, as CEO in order to support founder, Charles Owen, in the management of the business. An ex-fund manager and corporate financier with extensive experience advising, investing in and starting growth companies, Sam has previously worked as a fund manager at Livingbridge, co-managing the listed investments for the Baronsmead VCTs and Wood Street Microcap Fund, and in investment banking for Societe Generale and Evolution Securities.

Jonathan Polin, group CEO of Sanlam, has also joined CoInvestor as an advisory board member and Matthew Peacock, founding partner at Hanover Investments, has been appointed non-executive chairman.
