Principal Secretary to Haryana CM, Dr K.K. Khandelwal giving prizes to outstanding students at the Annual Day Function of Apeejay School, Faridabad on Wednesday.
New Delhi/Jalandhar, January 22, 2014: Principal Secretary to Haryana CM, Dr K.K. Khandelwal has urged upon the students to make consistent efforts with positive attitude to achieve success.
Addressing the students, teachers and parents at the Annual Function of Apeejay School, Faridabad, Dr Khandelwal said that a number of challenges may come in life, but one should not lose heart and keep up the morale. Appreciating the achievements of Apeejay School in educational and other activities, he said that it is the duty of schools to provide proper environment in schools, where students can learn and imbibe values.
Dr Khandelwal said that with determination, dedication and perseverance and focus on the target, one can achieve success in life. He asked the students to develop self confidence and courage. In this context, he related the story of a polio victim girl, who was able to win Gold Medal in 100 m and 200 m races in Olympics, because of sheer will power and hard work.
Dr Khandelwal said that everybody has got potential and strength. Someone is excellent in one field and the other in some other field. One should select appropriate target and persue it with positive attitude. He also related the story of ‘Slow and Steady Wins the Race’, in which the hare lost the race, because of complacency and tortoise won the race because of steady of the goal. Dr Khandelwal said, where team work is involved, one should contribute one’s best and help others also to come up. He also gave a piece of advice to the students to test before trusting anybody.
Giving best wishes to the students, Dr Khandelwal said that you may progress and prosper in life, but you must not lose integrity. He also asked the students to work for higher achievements and bring name to School and the State.
Dr Khandelwal also gave away prizes to outstanding students of the school, who had achieved excellence in academic and other activities.
On this occasion, students also presented attractive cultural items.
In the beginning of the function, President of the Apeejay Stya & Svarn Group, Sushma Berlia gave details about the activities being carried out by the Apeejay Group, which has now reached the level of a university.
