Jalandhar, November 26, 2013: Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organised Inter School Competition “Youth Bonanza 2013”.
In this competition, teams of 11 schools participated.
In this competition, Poster Making, Paper Reading, Slogan Writing and Poetical Recitation competitions were held. Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj welcomed the guests and said that Hard Work and Positive attitude towards life is the key to success. The programme was started with lighting of the lamp. Head of Physics Department Prof. Renuka Bhatti told the students about the achievements of science department. The topics of the competition were Environment Protection, Mobile Ban or Boon, Youth & Drug abuse & Female Foeticide.
In Poster Making & Slogan Writing Competition, Prof. Kiranjeet Kaur, Prof. Shama Sharma & Dr. Anjana Bhatia were the judges. In Paper Reading & Poetical Recitation Competition, Prof. Renuka Bhatti, Dr. Jasbir Rishi and Prof. Kuljeet Kaur were the judges.
In Poster Making Competition, Deepak of Lala Jagat Narain DAV Model School won the first prize. In Slogan Writing Competition, Simran Kaur of Police DAV Public School won the first prize. In Paper Reading Competition, Prafulta Devkar of DMS, Dayanand Nagar, Jal. school won first prize. In Poetical Recitation, Gursimrat Kaur of Police DAV school won first prize. A presentation of the college was also shown to the students. Programme co-ordinator Prof. Bhupinder Kaur thanked the guests. In this competition, teams of DMS Dayanand Nagar, Lala Jagat Narain DAV Model School, St. Soldier Divine Public School, DRV DAV Centenary Public School Phillaur, Police DAV Public School, SRT DAV Public School Bilga, Apex International Public School Nakodar, Ekam Public School, DMS Model Town participated. On this occasion, Dean Academics, Prof. Meenakshi Syal Head of Botany Department, Dr. Meena Sharma, Prof. Deepshikha were also present. Stage was conducted by Dr. Rama Chawdhary, Head of Sanskrit Department.
