Anirudh Chautala, grandson of Haryana Nayak Tau Devi Lal and others being taken into preventive custody in Rohtak on Wednesday when they sought to sit on dharna in D-Park near the Chief minister residence.

Chandigarh, January 1, 2013 : Anirudh Chautala, grandson of Haryana Nayak Tau Devi Lal from his youngest son Jagdish Chander, who has launched ‘Yuva Bolega’ movement to demand the abolition of `Interview Raj’ in recruitments to government jobs in Haryana, was taken into preventive custody alongwith several youths in Rohtak today when they sought to sit on dharna in D-Park near the Chief minister residence.
A strong police force with two DSPs at the head swooped upon the protesters and took them away to an undisclosed place in police vehicles. Earlier dozens of protesters were prevented by the police from reaching the venue of the protest by stopping them a km away.
The district administration apparently sat over their request for permission to sit on dharna toprotest against the interview raj which was resulting in corrupt practises on a large scale and favouritism and nepotism in recruitments in the state during successive regimes in the state. Last night they were informed verbally that they will not be permitted to sit on dharna since section 144 had been enforced in the area as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order.
Anirudh and some others, realising that they would not be allowed anywhere near the site of the protest, were nevertheless able to reach the spot in rickshaws and auto-rickshaws.
The moment he and the others carrying backpacks and hands tied with ropes, clearly indicating their peaceful intent, sat on dharna a heavy police force descended on the spot in 10 PCRs and 3 buses and took the protesters in preventive custody.
This is in complete violation of the Rights to Freedom of Speech and Expressions. It clearly shows that our democratic freedom is being taken away from us, it reminds us clearly the colonial rule that existed and took the soul and wealth of the nation away. It reminds youth of the clear colonial rule that existed pre independence and the same exists now, said Nitin Narang, Founding Member, Yuva Bolega
Favouritism and nepotism in recruitment to government posts at all levels has become so institutionalised in Haryana that a deserving candidate stands no  chance against the overriding influence of the kith and kin of the high and the mighty in all fields of life, including political class and bureaucracy. No wonder a lot of recruitments under successive governments in the state have come under the scanner of judiciary at various times and some of the perpetrators of this regime are undergoing jail terms.
Raising his voice in revolt against this system Anirudh Chautala had announced at a press conference in Chandigarh recently launch of “Yuva Bolega” movement to rid the recruitment system of the `Interview Raj’. He had announced that he will sit on fast from January 1 to press for abolition of the interview system in all levels of recruitment to government posts in Haryana.
He told the press conference that interviews had been reduced to a mere tool in the hands of the influential people, especially the dominant political classes in conjunction with the ever obliging bureaucracy, to push in their undeserving or less deserving kith and kin into government services at the cost of the deserving candidates. “So many of these recruitments have either been turned down by the judiciary, and the perpetrators sent to jail, and many more are at various stages of being judged. And still, favouritism and nepotism are being perpetrated with impunity,” he added.// Haryana news,  Haryana current news,  Haryana news live, Haryana breaking news, Haryana headlines, Haryana latest news, india news,
