New Annual Staff Satisfaction Survey Now Open
The annual staff satisfaction survey is now open. We do ask that all staff complete the survey as your feedback is crucial in our ongoing improvement plans.
The survey closes on Saturday, 2 February, 2013 at midnight.
New HR News - New Passport or Employment Pass
A reminder to staff, if they have a new passport or employment pass for themselves, or any of their dependents, to please send a copy of the new documents to the HR office for file updating.

New Canada Night at the Races 2013
Dear CanCham Members and Friends,
It's back, and here is your invitation to Canada Night at the Races 2013!
After our first email, seats and tables are selling fast, so it should be another fantastic evening at the Singapore Turf Club. The details are listed here below:

Registration begins at 5:30pm. First horse race begins at 6:20pm
Early Bird Registration (by January 25th 2013):
Canada 5-Pillar Members: $80, Non Members: $100
Regular Registration (after January 25th 2013):
Canada 5-Pillar Members: $90, Non Members: $110
Please mail your form with a cheque payment to confirm your registration. As seats are limited, we require registration and payment in advance.

Medical Clinic Notice - Silver Cross Medial Clinic
Please note that CIS has just been informed that the five Silver Cross Medical Clinics have been removed from the VISTA GP Panel as of January 9. We understand that many CIS staff use their services on a monthly basis and unfortunately this will be problematic in the interim. Based on conversations with VISTA we understand that Silver Cross remains part of the Healthway Group of clinics so we are unsure if the removal of Silver Cross Clinics is temporary or permanent. We will keep you posted as we receive more news from VISTA.
Communications Committee
Have ideas about communication that you'd like to share? Do you like collaborating and brainstorming ideas?
We will be assembling a team at CIS to creatively and effectively build on our communication structure and we are looking for passionate CIS staff and teachers to join.
Time Commitment: a few hours per month (after school)

Parent Teacher Interviews - Closes Tomorrow (LKS and TK)
Teachers Appointment Schedules - Real time Access
Teachers appointment schedules will be viewable at all times throughout the registration period via the Staff Portal. A video that walks you through the registration system will be published to the portal on January 15. On January 17, an icon that will have previously been published to the staff portal dashboard will be activated. This icon will the live link to the registration system so that you can view and print your schedules.
Parents and Registration
Parents were updated of the new system in last week’s WAG. Registration opened to parents at 7:00 AM on 17 January and will close at midnight on Tuesday, 22 January. Parents access the registration system directly from the parent portal - no additional login is required.

LKS - Terry Fox Run Almost Here - Thursday 31 January (rain or shine)
On the Day
Classes will have an assigned time to run on the day - the schedule will be sent to you the week prior to the run. All you need to do on the day is bring your class to the track.
Student Council reps will be on hand to set your class up on the track, watch the time, and help get your class back to you (off the track when the time is up). As students complete a lap, they will be marked with face paint to record the number of laps - there will be one stripe per lap.
After the run, you will need to:
Record how many laps each child ran on a slip of paper (will be provided)
Attach the slip to the original sponsor form
Send slip and sponsor form home with students for money collection
Donations should be:
Returned in an envelope - with name, amount collected and grade/teacher’s name
Sent to the office where there is a big box awaiting all returned forms/ money
Teachers do not have to check the money or mark off who has returned them - I will monitor this.
Thank you very much for your support and help in this inaugural schoolwide event. We are hoping to raise an impressive amount of money for the Singapore Cancer Society.

A great time was had by all at this year's Terry Fox Run at TK. Participants of all ages filled the field at TK with enthusiasm and laughter for a good cause.
