LouLou’s Boutique was a dream of the owner, Nancy Rembold, when she was in high school. Now, over 30 years later, it’s a reality.
It started When Rembold launched LouLou’s Boutique, it was with the desire to bring a unique selection of women’s clothing to the West Side of Cincinnati. The store’s name is inspired by Rembold’s mom LouLou, a stylish mother of 7 who made looking fabulous seem effortless.
LouLou’s strives to make it easy for clients to not only look great, but also feel great in the clothes they purchase. “We are a lifestyle brand – a brand you can rely on to fit and enhance your lifestyle,” says Rembold. “We carefully select the brands we believe will give you the most fashion for the money. Part of this selection process includes review by several of LouLou’s team members while on buying trips (it has to pass the LouLou’s test). Also, our price points make boutique shopping accessible to everyone.”
At LouLou’s, it is stress free shopping. “We try to make everyone feel simply at home at LouLou’s. That is how my mom made everyone feel when you walked into our home,” says Rembold. Mothers and daughters alike often shop there together. Everyone can find something at LouLou’s and now, their number one selling brand, She & Sky (formally knows as Ya of Los Angeles) has expanded into Plus/Women sizing. The store just received their first shipment and are incredibly excited to be able to meet the fashion needs of more women in Cincinnati!
The boutique has a loyal following of local West Side shoppers, as well as shoppers from all over Cincinnati. In addition to the store, Rembold has hosted many successful Trunk Shows in different locations to grow LouLou’s fan base, and has also created an online location to purchase LouLou’s merchandise.
On March 4, the store is hosting an event benefiting a sale’s associate, Kate Lake’s, effort in Africa. LouLou’s is supporting her with a special day of shopping on Saturday, March 4 from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm. 10% of all sales will go toward the two-month mission trip this summer to Swaziland, Africa, where Lake will be volunteering at orphanages, as well as working on her research project observing the environment children are exposed to, and ways to design clothing that would have a positive effect on their daily lives.
Improving lives in more ways than one, Rembold often hosts special charity events in-store, such as her event on March 4 in collaboration with Katie Lake, a University of Cincinnati fashion design student. Lake, a sales associate at LouLou’s, is combining her love of fashion with her desire to help children in Africa in a unique way.
“I’ll be conducting a special research project on the environment that the children are exposed to, and ways to design clothing that would have a positive on their daily lives,” Lake explains.
LouLou’s will be supporting Lake’s effort with a special day of shopping on Saturday, March 4 from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm. Ten percent of all sales will go toward her two-month mission trip this summer to Swaziland, Africa, where she will be volunteering at orphanages, as well as working on her research project.
