Cult Of Blu-Ray Addicts
The COBRA Connection is the connection for your collection! A niche-focused listing of new and exclusive domestic (US) Blu-ray releases. There are a lot of sites out there that list the major new releases, but we’re more interested in more collectable fare such as retailer exclusives, boutique distributors, limited editions, and the “best” editions of any particular new release. We’re Blu-ray focused but may include the odd DVD. Links point to Amazon where applicable or retailer/distributor websites as needed.
Lots of retailer exclusives this week, the most exciting being a Best Buy steelbook of Ash vs Evil Dead Season 1. The Walking Dead Season 6 has several retailer editions, and oddly enough, box office loser The Huntsman gets lots of royal treatment as well, perhaps undeservedly.
Shout Select’s third title, Midnight Run, bows today, and Scream Factory rounds out their Psycho franchise releases with Psycho IV. Warner’s DC Animation line is re-releasing several movies as double-features. Also of interest: The Bloodstained Butterfly, Modesty Blaise, City On Fire (not the Chow Yun Fat one), The Taste Of Honey, and Woman In The Dunes.
There’s some cool new-new stuff as well, most importantly Shane Black’s The Nice Guys. Plus Ratchet & Clank, Roots, and new seasons of The Strain, Narcos, Doctor Who, and Legends Of Tomorrow.
