Primary Purpose:

This position leads the technical HR processes at CWS.  This role provides diverse support to the HR function as needed, including electronic file maintenance, report preparation, administration of CWS global human capital management system (HCM) and other HR technologies, and coordinates a variety of strategic analytical HR projects as requested. Other broad HR support functions within this role may be related to recruitment, payroll, and benefits administration.

Essential Duties:

HCM System Administration and other HR Technologies

Ensures the timely and accurate entry of employee data regarding initial hire, transfers, promotion and termination.

Develops and provides training and technical assistance to system users.

Ensures that all data feeds out of and into the system work as required and troubleshoots/resolves any issues with the feeds.

Runs tests and queries to check data accuracy.

Researches and resolves problems with configuration, rules, process flows etc.

Works with managers to set up reports, dashboards and related data needs.

Develops and sets up standard reporting for senior management, government reporting requirements, affirmative action plan analyzes and related items.

Works with the HR team and end users to analyze and configure the HCM system to meet new or changed needs.

Researches system functionality and stays abreast of new functionality to recommend ways the HCM system can be leveraged more effectively.

Works with communications staff and others to keep the HR portal within the HCM system up to date and engaging for staff globally.

Researches other technologies that could be incorporated into the HR process to automate transactional work and increase the efficiency of communication between overseas offices, HR and payroll.

Oversees and maintains other existing technologies (e.g. ATS, Hightail, Survey Monkey).

Creates and updates electronic employee files.

Sends out exit interview surveys and assists with the preparation of quarterly exit interview reports.

Support for Recruitment Activity

Develops advertising for job openings.

Leverages social media to ensure that job openings reach the intended audiences.

Performs recruitment searches on appropriate social media sites (e.g. LinkedIn etc.)

Schedule interviews with prospective job candidates and responds to general questions regarding the interview logistics, benefits, policies etc.

Ensures that the applicant tracking system is kept up to date and accurate and all relevant interview or assessment documentation is in the system.

Sets up new hires for background and reference checks.

Ensures that new hires receive on-boarding forms, volunteer or intern agreements etc. and complete and return them in a timely manner.

Assist HR team members globally

Prepares reports and analysis in support of various HR initiatives (e.g. compensation structures, union negotiations, organization restructures etc.).

Participates in calls and meetings and works closely with the HR Managers to assist and to learn how to handle domestic and international HR issues.

Completes assigned projects for the HR Managers in a variety of areas.

Serves as a team member for HR Managers when extra resources are needed (e.g. high volume recruiting, new office opening, restructures etc.)

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.  SHRM or HRCI certification preferred but not required.

Experience:

2-year experience in a human resources environment preferred but not required.  Experience with Salesforce HCM or other SQL-based database applications. Prior working experience at CWS is a strong asset.
