Saturday, Aug. 18

3:55 a.m. — 2300 block W. 14th St., resident said he fired a shot from his semiautomatic pistol at a man trying to climb through his infant daughter’s bedroom window. Police, who gave the man back his pistol, said they had been called to his house on three separate occasions recently regarding men standing outside his house with weapons or trying to break in, but they appeared to be unfounded calls.

10;34 a.m. — 2100 block W. 23rd St., resident said car she left her car unlocked and accidentally left the keys on the driver’s seat. She said the car was stolen from in front of 2312 Sunset Boulevard overnight.

1:38 p.m. — Police Department, woman said she was raped on Wednesday by her first cousin and he threatened her on Thursday. Police said they would investigate.

5:01 p.m. — Century Park, 1901 E. Erie Ave., two picnic tables rolled off the patio and many beer, soda and water bottles scattered around the beach.

5:54 p.m. — 1300 block W. Seventh St., car parked overnight in front of driver’s grandmother’s home had driver’s side door window scratched with a sharp object.

7:24 p.m. — 1700 block Crehore St., Andre Moore, 25, same address, charged with domestic violence, but not arrested. Moore’s girlfriend said he tried to hit her with his hand after she complained about him hitting her young daughter. The girlfriend said she ran from their home before Moore could hit her. Police said they searched for Moore Saturday night, but couldn’t find him.

9:43 p.m. — 3900 block Laurel Road, Ronald Ramsey, 34, same address, cited for a roaming dog violation and an unregistered dog. A woman said Ramsey’s 120-pound Great Dane attacked her two dogs as she was walking them past Ramsey’s home.

Sunday, Aug. 19

1:44 a.m. — 3700 block W. Erie Ave., naked woman covered in blood screaming that she was assaulted. The woman’s boyfriend said she has a seizure disorder and experienced a nightmare and ran outside their apartment complex with a brick and smashed a neighbor’s window. After being hospitalized, the woman said she didn’t remember breaking her neighbor’s window, but thought she might have broken her own. She said she wasn’t assaulted.

1:45 a.m. — Gil’s International Lounge, 1840 E. 28th St., report of a fight in progress. Police said when they arrived, several people in the parking lot ran and a table was flipped inside the bar and food was spilled on the floor.

Thursday, Aug. 16

10:40 a.m. — Lorain County Children Services, 226 Middle Ave., Elyria, caseworker received profane voicemails from a mother she was investigating. A deputy told the woman — who didn’t make threats in the voicemails — not to call the case worker again.

Friday, Aug. 17

2:31 p.m. — 1000 block West Ridge Road, Carlisle Township, a couple whose house burned in a June 27 fire said they were visiting the home and confronted an 11-year-old boy and his 15-year-old brother in the couple’s bedroom. The boys said they were dared to enter the home and then began to run away. The 15-year-old pushed aside the woman and struck the husband when he grabbed the boy’s arm, according to the couple. The boys, who were found hiding in the woods, were both charged with robbery, according to a report by Deputy Eric Gregus. The 11-year-old was released to his mother. The 15-year-old was taken to the Lorain County Detention Home.
