Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all having a great week!
How did you all spend your Valentine's Day?
I personally think it's a lovely custom to make it a special day for the ones you love.
However, I do love a good surprise, so I've planned a 'staycation' for me and my boyfriend a few days before actual Valentine's Day.
The COMO Metropolitan London was the perfect choice for our little trip. The botique hotel is located on Old Park Lane, which opens up right onto the landmark Hyde Park Corner, Bond Street, Belgravia, Knightsbridge and Piccadilly are within easy walking distance.
After we received a lovely welcome at check-in, we went straight up to our beautiful suite. The first thing we noticed was the stunning view over Hyde Park (sadly it was pouring all day but I guess that's London).
The rooms have been designed with tranquillity and wellness in mind! I really like the timeless and contemporary style and warm colours!
After we've settled down and done a bit of spa and gyming it was time for dinner. Since the hotel is located in such a great area, we had quite a few options to choose from. We went for the Nobu Restaurant, which is conveniently located inside the hotel.
Dining at Nobu was the perfect occasion to finally get to wear this gorgeous Reiss dress, which is the perfect LBD and I love the gorgeous lace details! I've linked some very similar over here, here and here.
One thing I love about staying in hotels are the lovely bathrooms and using your favourite beauty creams just feels even more luxurious!
My current skin favourites include the following:
Sensai Silk Peeling Powder
This has to be the most gentle peeling I've ever tried and it leaves my skin silky soft and glowing.
Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Milk
This one is great for stressed winter skin, as it removes all traces of makeup but leaves my skin moisturised.
Omorovicza Gold Rescue Cream and Miracle Facial Oil
I've been loving this brand for quite some time and I love how soothing their cream and facial oil is on stressed winter skin! The facial oil is also great for dapping over your makeup during the day, to avoid dry and tired looking skin.
Starskin sheet mask
Ok so how did we ever cope without sheet masks? I really love this brightening and illuminating one from Starskin.
Estée Lauder Eye Gelée
I love using this cooling and moisturising eye glée, especially during this time of the year!
These are my favourite make up pieces I've been loving for the last couple of months:
Clarins Blush Prodige
This blusher has been in my makeup bag for quite a while now and I love it's silky and lightweight formula and it gives the perfect glow.
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick
In my books this bronzer works wonders on pale and tired looking skin! It's an all year round favourite of mine.
Estée Lauder Priming Moisture Balm and Eye Genuine Glow Primer
These two are fairly new to my makeup kit but the primers work really great and leave my skin with a healthy glow.
The the priming face moisture balm is really light weight, non-sticky and I love that it comes with SPF 15.
The eye primer keeps the eye area hydrated and still manages to keep my eye makeup from smudging!
RMK Foundation
I've been loving this foundation for a few years now. It's light and hydrating formula just works great for my skin!
Maybelline Lash Sensational Macara
Finding the right mascara is almost as difficult as finding the right pair of jeans, especially if you got short lashes. But this mascara works wonders on my lashes, making them appear longer and thicker!
This was my first time at the Nobu on Park Lane and I was pretty excited to try their Japanese-Peruvian cuisine.
We went for fried scampi, chicken nachos and a few different sushi rolls and oh my was it delicious!
The food was packed full of flavours and I loved the attention to detail.
We've ended our dinner with these lovely Mochi balls, which were the perfect ending to a gorgeous meal!
After a lovely night of sleep, we started our morning with a fresh cup of coffee (we had our own Nespresso machine in our Suite) and enjoyed the beautiful view over Hyde Park!
After we've made up our mind what to have for breakfast, we had our food brought up to our room by the lovely staff of the hotel (can't beat room service).
I went for the continental breakfast, which came with the most beautiful, flaky croissants and a lovely fruit salad!
After we've finished with our breakfast and sipping our coffees we popped outside the hotel and strolled around beautiful London!
