There's only one week left until it's Christmas! Isn't that crazy? Time to get those last-minute gifts, especially if you are like me and leave everything until the very end. Not the best shopping strategy, but better late than never. Well, considering I was able to take these photos, I'm not that last minute this season, though looking at all the other blogs holiday gift guides are something you start writing in November. Oops, my bad. Next time! It's just my attempt to hunt down all interesting gift ideas took a little longer than expected and then I got into this state of "Let's attempt product styling on a larger scale!", so now we ended up with these last minute tips. Well, even if you are a super organised person, there're always birthdays as well, so it's not really a waste to have a look around, right?
I've divided my gift ideas into 3 different parts, each with a different kind of feeling. Though, thinking about it, they are all pretty much "me" as well, but then again I choose all these gifts. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these gift ideas and don't mind the lateness!

Nur noch eine Woche bis Weihnachten! Krass. Zeit noch schnell die letzten Geschenke zu kaufen, vor allem, wenn ihr wie ich seid und alles auf den letzten Druecker macht. Nicht gerade die beste Einkaufsstrategie, aber lieber spaet als nie. Na gut, wenn man bedenkt, dass ich hier noch schoen Fotos geschossen habe, so spaet bin ich auch nicht dran. Aber man gucke sich nur die anderen Blogs an und dort gibt es schon seit Wochen Geschenkideen. Naja, egal, beim naechsten Mal bin ich frueher dran! Ausserdem kann man sich hier auch fuer Geburtstagsgeschenke inspieren. Immer hat irgendwer Geburtstag.
Ich habe die Geschenkideen in 3 verschiedene Kategorien eingeteilt, jedes mit seiner ganz eigenen Geschichte und Atmosphaere. Wobei im Endeffekt alle mich widerspiegeln, aber ich habe sie ja auch ausgewuehlt. Nichtsdestotrotz hoffe ich, dass ihr etwas damit anfangen koennt und noch die ein oderer andere Geschenkidee findet.
City girl is pretty self-explanatory. It's about this sophisticated modern girl that's globetrotting around the world, it's about being on time (because being fashionably late is definitely not cool anymore) and always having a notebook and pen on hand to note down all the clever ideas that are running through her head. Notebooks, such as the Moleskine diary or the tiny nuuna by brandbook notes* are always a good idea. Great with a handwritten message and maybe a photo of you and your friend inside. If you want to be a bit fancy, a watch or jewellery are always a good idea. Especially rose gold items, such as the Olivia Burton* or the Caravelle NY* watches are always popular. If you don't want to splurge on such items, why not try a DIY gift? It's much personal and the time spent on it will definitely be appreciated. Though, that marble clip board took me like 5 minutes, so there's no excuse not to try your hands on it. If you are still not convinced, Cereal magazine's new travel guide Guided London could be an option, even for Londoners! Beautifully captured and written, it introduces hotels, restaurants and more!
City Girl muss man nicht wirklich definieren. Es geht einfach um die Art modernes Maedchen, welches um die Welt reist, puenktlich von Termin zu Termin rennt (weil zu spaet sein ist auf jeden Fall nicht mehr in Mode) und immer Notizbuecher zur Hand hat, um die ein oder andere geniale Idee einfangen zu koennen. Die Moleskine Planer sind seit Jahren festes Bestandteil in meinem Leben, aber man kann leider nicht immer den ganzen Planer mitnehmen. Da ist so ein kleines Heftchen wie die nuuna by brandbook Notizhefte ideal. Wenn ihr etwas beeindrucken wollt, sind Schmuck oder Uhren immer gut. Rosegold ist sowieso der absolute Renner, also koennt ihr mit einer Olivia Burton oder Caravelle NY* Uhr nichts falsch machen. Falls ihr euer Konto eher weniger belasten wollt, koennt ihr auch etwas selbst basteln. Dieses Clipboard hat mich vielleicht 5 Minuten gekostet? Oder wie waere es mit ein wenig Stoff fuer das Koepfchen. Die Cereal Magazine sind auf jeden Fall eine klasse Inspirationsquelle und das neue Guided London dient sogar als Reisefuehrer.
My girlfriends are all beauty obsessed, just like me. So I love gifting them with awesome new products and little beauty treats. Especially around Christmas, brands offer so many amazing gift sets that I would all buy for myself, if I had that much money to spent. My favourite gift sets are definitely by benefit. The reasoning is simple, I love the brand, they have great products and they are beautifully packaged. What more could you wish for? But what I also like doing is buying little bits and box and creating a personalised beauty set. You could buy different kinds of nail paint or lip sticks, put them all into a pretty little box and you have your own gift set. Or why not try creating your own gifts with the 'Create your own' sets by beauty kitchen*? You can either make lip balms and bath bombs for your friend or simply let them enjoy the fun of making! Yet, as much fun as this sounds, it's definitely not something for everyone. My mum wouldn't like that type of DIY gift, so for her I wanted something more sophisticated and elegant, so I picked out the Omorovicza Introductory Christmas Set *. I'm sure she will go nuts over this one.
Meine Freundinnen und ich sind alle totale Beauty-fans. Da ist es kein Wunder, dass wir uns immer gegenseitig die neusten Produkte aus aller Welt schenken. Ganz praktisch, wenn man da Freunde ueberall verstreut hat. Auf jeden Fall ist Weihnachten die ideale Zeit fuer solche Geschenke. Einfach weil es so viele tolle Angebote und Geschenkpakete gibt. Mein Favorit ist auf jedenfall benefit. Wie suess ihre Geschenkboxen doch sind! Aber ihr koennt natuerlich auch ganz einfach Kleinigkeiten kaufen und euer eigenes Set erstellen. Oder warum nicht gleich Lippenbalsam oder Badekugel selbst kreieren. Mit Beauty Kitchen* gar kein Problem. Wenn ihr aber nicht so geschickt seid, koennt ihr diese 'Create your Own' Sets auch einfach so veschenken. Sorgt sicherlich fuer eine Menge Spass. Wobei meine Mutter so etwas wohl eher weniger toll finden wuerde. Fuer sie sollte es dann doch etwas glamouröser werden, also fiel die wahl auf das Omorovicza Introductory Christmas Set*. Da wird sie aus dem Haeusschen sein.
So this one was a little hard to name: I went from "Single Housewife" to "Girl that likes cozying up" to the more positive and dreamy "Sweet Alice". It's for all the girls that, like my friends and I, appreciate that relaxing cup of tea after a stressful day of work or uni. Whittard* has been my all-time favourite since moving to London, so I'm always super excited when they come out with new gift ideas. I mean, who wouldn't be happy about those cute little Alice tins or that loose tea and infuser set? My first Christmas after moving to London, I think I bought 20 loose tea pouches to gift to family and friends in Germany. So what else do you need for a relaxing time at home? You've got the tea, now you just need a cup coffee and some comfortable slippers. George Home* with their extensive and budget-friendly home section have me covered for that one. Then you just have to light up a tea light or a nicely scented candle, such as those P.F. soy candles that O'dell's sell. If you get your friend these kinds of things, or even yourself, a good mood is definitely guaranteed!
Diese Kategorie war ein wenig schwierig zu benennen. Was fuer Ideen ich hatte, meine Mitbewohner hat mich dafuer zur Schnecke gemacht. Also wurde es letzendlich "Sweet Alice". Es ist fuer all die Maedchen, meine Freundinnen und mich eingeschlossen, die nichts lieber haben als eine gute Tasse Tee, wenn sie Abends von der Arbeit oder Uni nach Hause kommen. Whittard* ist da schon mein langer Favorit. Das erste Weihnachten, nachdem ich nach London gezogen bin, kamen 20 Teepackungen in den Koffer fuer Freunde und Familie in Deutschland. Einfach weil sie so gut, aber auch huebsch verpackt sind. Und wer wuerde sich nicht ueber solch suesse Alice-Teeboxen freuen. Und was braucht man noch ausser Tee, fuer einen gemuetlichen Abend? Ne huebsche Tasse und ein paar warme Treter. George Home* hat da eine riesige und preiswerte Auswahl. Danach heisst es dann nur noch ein paar Kerzen anzuenden, wie zum Beispiel die tollen Kerzen, die es bei O'dell's zu erstehen gibt. Wenn ihr euren Freunden oder euch selbst diese Dinge besorgt, ist gute Stimmung auf jeden Fall garantiert.
