Maybe it's the fact that I recently graduated, maybe I simply want to look my age. Whatever the reason, in the past few months my personal style has changed yet again...

It's quite interesting how your style naturally changes over time. When I was 14 I was running around with pink highlights and black and white striped overknee socks, then I got into the gyaru trend (even though my version was much more toned down) wearing pastel colours and floral print. Then I became your typical East London girl that was wearing Vintage Levis Denim Shorts 24/7. Now my style has slowly taken a different turn again. More minimalistic, quite androgyne, a bit office-like even. It's just that I started to prefer those suit trousers over skinny jeans as they are much more comfortable to walk in make me feel even more pleasantly casual (even though they are smart). There's still one item that I'm struggling with though: trainers. I do like them and now that I've gotten my hands on these Nike ones I understand the appeal of their comfort. Though, styling them is a completely different matter. It's just they are such unknown territory that I feel quite conscious wearing them. Do trainers match this outfit? Is that the right look? I know, I don't have to worry about such petty things, but even now trainers feel like something that belongs to the gym, at least for me. And gym class definitely doesn't bring back the best memories for me. I just recall my teachers asking me, whether or not I tried my best in running, even though I did... Oh well, you always have to try out new things, right? There's always a first time! So for a bit of Fashion Week fun and some Market hopping beforehand, I went for this semi-smart-a-bit-casual outfit. Works? Maybe not, but I felt really good in it and that's the most important part, isn't it?

Naja, man faengt ja immer irgendwo an.
