Microsoft’s Vice president while addressing a congregation at annual build developer conference revealed that all the latest Microsoft’s devices would have the latest browser “Edge”, which has been developed as an alternative to the older “Internet explorer”.

The newer browser “Edge” is boasted to be substantially faster than internet explorer and would include better integration for other devices and Microsoft’s artificial assistant “Cortana”, which would enable the users to have more personalized results creating improved experience for the users.

The Vice president further expressed that the name “Edge” stems from the browser’s ability to integrate and put the users at the edge where they would be able to consume and share content in a newer and improved method.

The users would also be able to load and integrate the 3rd party apps and extensions from Firefox and Chrome, which would further fuel the acceptability of the browser in the users around the world. This move would further bring the developers closer to the edge and enable them to earn higher revenues.

The newer browser would also be able to integrate and run on the newly invented “Hololens”, a newer product developed by the company to augment holographic reality.

With the newer browser the company would be able to compete in the highly competitive market, which has been dominated by the Google Chrome for years now. The newer browser would integrate long sought innovation and speed that was absent from the internet explorer in form of Edge.
