Yahoo has already been making a name for itself when it comes to delving into the mobile application world. After all, Yahoo has already brought sixteen companies under their little umbrella that specifically spotlight the consumer mobile products industry. However, they have now taken a step further and turned their eye and pocketbook onto mobile ad technology.

As all companies will already tell you, mobile ads are now one of the prime sources to get consumers into their locations. Franchises use mobile ads a great deal because of the fact that local advertising is the one and only ‘guaranteed’ path to get the consumer to drive down the road and head through their doors.

Admovate is the name of the company that is now Yahoo’s to play with. And this is one mobile ad technology source that’s extremely sophisticated – helping marketers reach target audiences at the right place and time every single day. If you are categorized as a small to mid-sized business, this is yet another avenue that will be profitable.

Yahoo my be the last social network out there to turn in this direction. They have obviously seen the return on investment that comes to Twitter and Facebook through mobile ads, vine loop videos for the cell phone, etcetera, and they want to cash in by helping social media teams improve a company’s profits.

Display ads – the normal ads that are placed or pop-up on screens – are becoming extremely frustrating for people. When the ad comes up, a great deal of time can be spent in making them go away. And in some cases, the ad is so advanced that the screen you’re on actually goes off and the internet has to reboot. Time is of the essence when it comes to a business making money, and the last thing a business wants to do is annoy a consumer with an ad that won’t go away.

Thankfully, Be First Social Media Group understands the complexities that come from traditional ads versus mobile advertising. And they offer their knowledge, skill and expertise to bring all the right answers to their clients before a mess is made or any consumer is upset.

Yahoo most likely has other reasons for acquiring the new company. It was just recently that Yahoo announced they experienced an 11% decline in their display advertising revenue. Advertisers have literally walked away from Yahoo because of their struggle to find a niche in the social network world; these businesses have made their way to Google, Facebook and Twitter instead. Why is this? Because the ‘Big Three’ have studied the landscape and the emerging technology when it comes to a business reaching their target audience, and they offer far more than Yahoo when it comes to targeted ads on both desktop and mobile devices.

The numbers don’t lie on this one. Facebook reported $1.45 billion in revenue in just the first quarter, which was above expectations. But the fact is that nearly one third of that revenue came from mobile ads

Admovate will combine their staff with Yahoo’s display advertising team to make those existing mobile ad offerings far more sophisticated and visually interesting to the consumer. Not to mention, their team will bring their Technicolor creativity to the table, which will allow businesses to purchase Yahoo ads that are far more developed and memorable to their audience.

66% of small-business owners (and this number is rising on an hourly basis), are using mobile devices as part of their advertising and PR campaigns. And of those, 73% of the owners stated that phones and tablets are necessary to their social media and marketing efforts. The social media platforms that still come out on top with these owners are: YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Each and every social network will grow throughout the 21st Century, with more appearing everyday. We have already come to know that this generation and the ones following will have computers and mobile phones at the core for every industry.

So when making that marketing/PR budget decision, always be sure to include the Be First Social Media Team into your plans. Only then will you have an easy way of becoming a part of the social media and mobile media marketing that increases profits.
