Cynthia and Angel is a feminine Nigerian brand founded by Cynthia Achama Otiyo-Abila, who studied Environmental Biotechnology at the University of Port Harcourt, but has always been fascinated by arts, creative wearable designs, style and a passion for details which led her to seek proper training in garment making from the University of Arts, London.

She was an active environmentalist until she started the brand, Cynthia and Angel in Abuja in 2015.

Cynthia and Angel believes that fashion is comfort that speaks more than a thousand words.

“We strive to create a wearable, simple, chic, detailed clothing to fit our customers. At Cynthia and Angel, we marry contemporary designs with a deep respect for African culture and diversity, while paying calculated attention to excellence, details, aesthetics and customer satisfaction aiming towards perfection.

“Our dreams and passion at Cynthia and Angel is to create a leading contemporary African brand infused with modern, effortless style and fashion forward clothing for today’s people.

Generally, our exclusive client is the urban sophisticated everyday woman who appreciates value, top quality and versatile style that flourishes into a timeless piece. In summary, we are dedicated to using the best available resources to design exceptional pieces bringing out the best form of extreme feminism,”she says.

On the other hand, Adejare Mayowa (born January, 1986) is a Nigerian fashion designer best known for her unisex lifestyle brand, Apex Clothings.

After graduating from Tai Solarin University of Education in 2009, he went to Regional Maritime University, Accra, Ghana, where he studied fashion designing.

He then began designing for his family and friends which later birthed the clothing line in 2012.

The company expanded into women’s clothing and various luxury items and went public in 2013.

Its collections are often influenced by the fashion of music sub-cultures.
