The Youth Committee Ambassadors Program is a new initiative by Chicago Sister Cities International designed to create leadership development opportunities for Chicago students and foster the next generation of globally-minded citizen diplomats. The goal is to have each of CSCI’s 29 volunteer sister city committees lead a week of programming with young women, ages 14-24, in their communities from July 10-17, 2021 in conjunction with our Global Youth Ambassadors Virtual Leadership Summit.
This program will be an opportunity for Chicago youth to:
Meet leaders in their communities (business, entrepreneurs, civic, government officials)
Share issues that are important to them/their communities
Learn about a specific sister city and meet our volunteer committee members while learning about their backgrounds
Discuss issues at the intersection of feminism and community, complementing our Global Youth Ambassadors Virtual Leadership Summit
Engage in Global Youth Ambassadors Virtual Leadership Summit and Alumnae programming, which will provide opportunities to meet with local Chicago women leaders
