Scottie Pippen, a key member of the legendary Chicago Bulls squad of the 1990s, has put his Highland Park mansion on the market. According to the Chicago Tribune, Pippen and his wife purchased the home in 2004 for $2.225, but yesterday listed it for $3.1 million. Situated on nearly three acres, the 10,000-square-foot home boasts some amenities that would please any pro ball player. The mansion sports a large outdoor pool and an indoor basketball court, complete with the Chicago Bulls’ red, white, and black colors. A likeness of Pippen’s number 33 jersey greets those that enter the court.
Pippen, who owns six championship rings (1991-1993, 1996-1998), also has a home in the Fort Lauderdale area on the market. While Michael Jordan dominated the NBA throughout the 1990s, Scottie Pippen is a legend in his own right. Pippen is a seven-time NBA All-Star and played on the legendary USA Olympic basketball squad—the Dream Team—in 1992 and 1996, and has been inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame twice.
