Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur equivalent Mauricio Pochettino asked the Italian to contain his back-up staff during Saturday’s Premier League clash.
The Blues came from a goal down to win 2-1, extending their victorious streak to seven consecutive games and maintaining their position at the top of the Premier League table.

In the dying minutes and with Spurs chasing an equaliser, a coming together on the touchline of Chelsea’s Willian and Tottenham’s Georges-Kevin N’Koudou caused a fracas.
Shortly afterwards Pochettino was seen having a word in Conte’s ear, in a throwback to a similar incident between the Blues boss and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho earlier this season.
The Chelsea has confirmed that there was no animosity between him and the Argentine trainer and that the Spurs boss simply felt that the home side’s bench over-reacted to N’Koudou’s challenge.
“During the game we spoke in one moment and he explained to me he was in disagreement with one of my assistants, but nothing important,” The Daily Mail quote Conte as saying.
“It was nothing important just a friendly chat and we have a good relationship. It was a chat about some action but I forget that.”
Chelsea’s clash with Tottenham last season was an explosive affair but the same levels of animosity were not present on Saturday.
