Thomas Ells

Of Stoneham, formerly of Chelsea

Thomas F. Ells of Stoneham, formerly of Chelsea, passed away on June 29 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was 78 years old.

Born on July 12, 1936 in Chelsea, Thomas was the loving son of the late Thomas and Mary (Richard) Ells. Thomas was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Thomas was a loyal and dedicated employee of the United States Postal Service for many years. He proudly defended our freedom by serving in both the United States Army and National Guard.

The beloved husband of Kathleen (Lillis) Ells, he was the devoted father of Karen Murphy and her husband, Chris and Kathleen Nye and her husband, Ken; the cherished grandfather of Sean and Eric Malonson, Colleen Murphy and Morgan, Thomas and Cameron Nye; the dear brother of Louise Norton and her husband, Richard, Arthur Ells and his wife, Patricia, Kathleen Strong and her late husband, Roy and the late Harry Ells and his wife, Virginia, Theresa Ells and Nancy Ells. He was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service Celebrating Thomas’ Eternal Life will be held on Friday, July 3 at 10 a.m. in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. , (RT 28) Stoneham. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the family today, Thursday, July 2 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Funeral Home. Marilyn Ringler

Of Chelsea

Marilyn (Caras) Ringler of Chelsea died on June 27.

She was the beloved wife of the late Marvin Ringler.; devoted mother of Jacqueline Belanger and her companion, Arthur Croce and the late Linda Giancola; loving daughter of the late Harry and Sarah Caras; sister of Loretta Dall and the late Ruth Schurgin; loving grandmother of Steven Belanger and his wife, Jessica, Nicole Secreast and her husband, Freddy, Christa Giancola and her companion, Mike and Adam Giancola and his companion, Nicole Loftus.

Funeral arrangements were by the Torf Funeral Service, Chelsea. Interment was in Beth Israel Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Marilyn’s name may be made to the Leonard Florence Center for Living, 165 Captains Row, Chelsea, MA 02150.

Barbara Creeden

Longtime resident of Beachmont, Revere

Barbara L. Creeden passed away on June 28 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home where she had been receiving supportive care. She was 93 years old.

Born and raised in Revere, she was the Loving daughter of the late James A. and Anna M. (Goodman) Creeden. She was a lifelong resident of Revere (Beachmont) until five years ago when she took residence at the Zelma Lacey Assisted Living in Charlestown.

During World War II, she was a war time employee/assembler at the GE plant in Lynn. Thereafter and for the next 33 years, she worked as a bookkeeper for Delta Airlines Air Cargo headquarters at Logan Airport.

She was a longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Beachmont. In her retirement she was a member of the Beachmont Golden Agers and enjoyed painting and pottery crafts. I

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses: the late Joseph Allen “Ike” Creeden and his wife, Anna, F. Edna French and her husband, John P. and her nephew, the late John French. She was the cherished aunt of Robert Creeden and his wife, Charlene of Dennis, Paul Creeden of Dorchester, Linda Neshamkin (wife of John French) of Charlestown, David French and his wife, Marge of West Port, CT, Mark French of Boston and David French and his wife, ShaSha of Brookline. She is also survived by several grandnieces and nephews and great grandnieces and great nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home, 718 Broadway, Chelsea on Saturday, July 11 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Grace Church, 59 Nichols St., Chelsea at 10:30 a.m. Services will conclude with Inurnment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. Mildred Malinowski

Of New Hampshire, formerly of Chelsea

Mildred (Majewski) Malinowski of Salem, NH, formerly of Chelsea, died on June 26.

Born in Chelsea 90 years ago, Mildred passed away Friday at Salemhaven in Salem, New Hampshire were she was receiving supportive care. A graduate of St. Stanislaus School, in her working years she worked at the Charlestown Navy Yard, the Coast Guard Station, Chelsea Clock and as a waitress.

She was the devoted wife of the late Boleslaw Malinowski; beloved mother of Janice Kinsella and her late husband, Michael of Windham, NH, William Malinowski of California, Paul Malinowski and his wife, Nancy of Norwood, Thomas Malinowski and his wife, Gail of Chelsea, Michael Malinowski and his wife, Suzanne of Windham, NH and the late Valerie McNeely and her surviving husband, James of Revere; sister of the late Laura Bonczewski, Father Stephen Majewski, Andrew, Edward and Charles Majewski; cherished grandmother of Leigh and Dana Kinsella of Windham, NH, Lindsey and Kristin Malinowski of California, Jill, Erica and Alexa Malinowski of Norwood, Lisa Cosette and her husband, Shane of Foxboro, Julie Malinowski of Boston, Thomas Malinowski, Jr. and his wife, Natalie of Swampscott, Kimberly McNeely of Everett, Erin Llanos and her husband, Waldy of Revere and Lauren McNeely of Saugus. Sabatina DeNisco

Devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother

Sabatina V. “Salle” (Montefusco) DeNisco passed away on June 26 after a brief illness in the comfort and quiet surroundings of her home with her tender loving family at her side. She was 82 years old.

A devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Salle worked as a Payroll Specialist for the Metropolitan Credit Union in Chelsea for over 30 years.

Born and raised in Chelsea, the beloved daughter of the late Enrico and Carmella Montefusco, she attended Chelsea schools and was a graduating member of Chelsea High School, Class of 1950. Shortly thereafter, she married her beloved William P. “Sonny” DeNisco, together they shared 60 years of abiding love together raising their family of two sons and a daughter.

She was a lifelong resident of Chelsea and enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband. Her other joys included caring for her children and grandchildren and being a great grandmother. Salle was widowed 20 months ago with Sonny’s passing and she mourned that loss daily. Still she persevered and continued working up to the time illness made it difficult to go to the credit union to perform her duties there as a payroll specialist.

In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Salle was also preceded in death by her brother, Sam Montefusco. She is survived by her loving children and their spouses: William P. DeNisco, Jr. and his wife, Deena of Everett, John S. “Jack” DeNisco and Linda Tigges and her husband, Thomas, all of Chelsea. She was the cherished grandmother of Tiana Marie DeNisco, Billie Aniella DeNisco, Alexa Marie Tigges, Brielle Ann Tigges, Christopher William DeNisco, Jennifer DeNisco, John Sam DeNisco and the late Alicia DeNisco; adored great-grandmother of Emilio and Macy Jobert and the dear sister of Virginia Deon of Chelsea.

Zdislawa Micherda

Devoted homemaker and mother

Zdzislawa E. (Caputa) Micherda passed away on June 28 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after losing a battle with cancer. She was 73 years old.

Born in Zablocie, Poland, the beloved daughter of the late Stefan and Antonina Caputa, she attended schools in Poland. She married Wieslaw Micherda in 1964 and together they shared the past 51 years with great love and devotion.

Zdzislawa came to the Boston area in the early 1980’s and was a resident of Everett for much of the past 21 years. She and her husband only recently moved to Tewksbury three years ago.

Zdzislawa was a devoted homemaker and mother and a a long time parishioner and supporter of St. Stanislaus Church in Chelsea, actively participating in Holy Day celebrations at the Church. She most enjoyed being a devoted mother, wife and grandmother to her adoring grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Wieslaw M. Micherda of Tewksbury, her loving children and their spouses: Eva Szczesny and her husband, Marek of Saugus and Jerry Micherda and his wife, Margaret of Middleton. She was the cherished grandmother “Babcia” of Samantha Szczesny and Christopher Micherda and dear sister of Danuta Dobosz of Rzeszow, PL.

Her Funeral will be held from the Frank A.
