Family and friends,
Thirteen years ago I made a commitment along with a team of wonderful friends and family to raise funds and awareness in hopes of finding a cure for breast cancer.
Our team changes every year — some of us are walkers, some are fundraisers, some are donors, and all of us are working toward a cure. We have learned the best ways to raise money, we know how to hold a successful yard sale, how to get donations for our raffles, and how to wash cars and sell T-shirts. We bake and we have fundraising pizza parties. The hardest part of fundraising is doing this — asking our friends for donations. So, my family and friends, for the 13th year I am asking, would you please sponsor me as I commit to walking 60 miles?
Each year we pray this will be the last but That Damn Breast Cancer still continues to take our daughters, mothers, grandmothers, aunts and uncles, our friends, and strangers. So we Titsy Chicks promise to walk for the cure as long as it takes, because EVERYONE deserves a lifetime.
