About the Board
The Central Board of Secondary Education which came into existence in 1962 is responsible for conducting and monitoring all the public and the private schools under the Union Government of India. The main aim of the board is to monitor students performance by conducting examinations.The various educational institutions including Kendriya Vidyalayas along with all the Jawahar Navodaya Vidayalas and most of the schools functioning under the Central Government are affiliated under the Board.
