I hate ghost story because I’m afraid. And The Master’s Sun is exactly that and others.

But ohhh a few peeks here and there and I’m hooked. A BIG part of it I gotta blame my sister for tuning in to that channel and for the amazing chemistry between So Ji Sub and Gong Hyo Jin that drew me in in the first place. They’re just daebak (good). Shoot, I’ll just block the ghost face with my hand in those scary scenarios. LOL So I ended up marathoning The Master’s Sun two weekends ago. Watched the finale last week with a BIG smile on my face.

I guess I gotta say The Hong sisters have redeemed themselves from BIG’s failure. They avoided everything BIG and wrote a wonderful Korean drama that is easily my favorite this year. Awwwww…

I’ve never seen So Ji Sub or Gong Hyo Jin dramas before this and now I’m a big fan of theirs. Tsk actually while waiting for the last 2 epis of this drama, I went ahead and watch’s So Ji Sub most famous drama = Sorry, I Love You which I will review soon.

To be honest, I don’t find them great together just by looking at the poster. But once I watched the drama, ohhh cute relationship.

Synopsis (source from koreandrama.org):

The story revolves around a woman who can see ghosts and a man who tries to protect her, and is described as a drama with horror and romantic elements infused together.

Joo Joong Won (So Ji Sub) is a miserly, greedy and conceited CEO, who measures all human relationships through money. Meanwhile, Tae Gong Sil (Gong Hyo Jin) is a melancholy and tearful assistant, who is able to see ghosts after an accident and thus suffers from insomnia. She lives a very reclusive and closed-off life due to her ability.

The story is being touted as “soul healing” drama that brings together very different types of people: one who can see and hear things that no one else in the world can and another who only hears and see things he wants too. As Joo Joong Won starts to believe in Tae Gong Sil’s claim of being able to see ghosts, these two people will grow together in faith and in character.

I’m hooked too!

The Master’s Sun is a fantastic drama. I love their relationship. They’re so cute together. Thanks to Joong Won’s reluctant to admit she’s worth so much more, sometimes the dialogues got really weird and yet unique. I want you, I need you and yet I’m okay to let you go. Awww come on!
