Introduction : Sai Dharam Tej is in good form at present.  He has got

good energy which can make an average film successful. Ravi Teja used to be like this earlier when we compare the energy levels.  That’s the reason why all the producers and directors are after Sai for his dates.  Sai took a routine film like Supreme to the next level with his talent.  He is coming up Winner this time with a routine story. Will this Winner impress the audience ?  Let us go through the review.

Story :  Winner reminds us of several movies. It is a story of a

father and a son.  Sai(Sai Dharam) misses away from his father

Mahender Reddy(Jagapathi Babu) and finally meets him. There is another subplot in the film.. hero, villain loves the same heroine. Whoever wins the horse race will become a winner.

Artistes performance :  Sai Dhram’s peformance is simply superb. He has rocked with dances and fights.  He has shown his talent in horse riding also.  He excelled in comedy scenes also. He got pass marks in sentimental scenes.  Rakul Preet Singh glamour is a plus for this film.  Anasuya item song will attract a section of audience. Jagapathi Babu performance is good.  Even though Prurthvi- Ali comedy track is routine, it evokes few laughs.

Technical: Chota K. Naidu photography is good. Production values are rich.  Veligonda Srinvias story has nothing new to offer. Dailouges are also not up to the mark. Gopichand Malineni direction can be termed as average.  Horse racing scenes will give some relief to the audience.

Highlights : Saidharam Tej Dances, fights, energetic performance

Rakul Preeth, Anasuya glamour

Few comedy scenes

Horse riding scenes

Huge budget

Drawbacks :  Father sentiment didn’t work

Weak second half

Routine story, Screen play

Analysis : Film  makers planned to achieve success with a routine

story with a touch of father sentiment. They have added horse riding backdrop.  But their idea did not work. Sai -Rakul pair is very good. Pruthvi comedy is ok. Three songs are good on the screen. But the routine story and screen play spoiled all these plus points. First

hafl is ok with comedy and love scenes. But second half turned out to

be hard as the story is revealed.  Director failed with routine stuff.

Final Verdict : Audience who like routine films can try once

Result :  Winner should have won at the box office if the story and

screen play matched Sai Dharam talent.
