Introduction :  Sunil became a hero leaving his number one position as a comedian.  But the situation became so bad that comedian position is gone and hero career is not moving forward. There is a doubt that audience ignored him completely.   Forget about hits,  he could not deliver average films also.  When Sunil got hits he planned his career as if he is a star hero.. now he is saying that he is not a hero but one of the comedians in the film. If this becomes a hit then he can do films as hero otherwise he can not get films. Otherwise he has to come up as a comedian again.  Title, trailer, teaser, songs could not impress the audience.  At least the film is good ?

Story :  There is a unbelievable point in this film who watched the teaser and trailers could not even imagine.  Ganesh is the one who wanted to help a person 10 times the help he has taken from him. Bairagi saves Ganesh life once.  Bairagi is the big rowdy in Vizag and Vizag is terrified with the name of Bairagi. Ganesh wanted to show his gratitude.  How Ganesh will help him? What happens to Bairagi life after Ganesh enters into his life is the story.

Performance : Sunil is a good actor. When it comes to comedy is very good actor. But Sunil wants to become a hero. He gives a feeling to the audience through his comedy scenes, dance, fights, dialogues and costumes that he is asking the audience to recognize him as a hero.  With this, his acting looks dramatic.  Heroine doesn’t know acting.  She is like an “aunty”.  There are several comedians in the film but there are very few comedy scenes.  Pruthvi tried to give deliver comedy with Balayya spoofs but the scenes do not have that stuff to deliver the comedy.  Saptagiri also tried forcible comedy.

Technical : If story, screen play, dialogues inspire the team and technical work will also be good. But how can a technician give a better output if he doesn’t like the scene ?  The same happened with this film. Cinimatography, Editing, music…nothing is good.  Sunil’s costume designer’s work is good. Audience will immediately understand that director doesn’t have command over basic things. Dialogue writer tried to show his talent with punch dialogues but our audience have completely crossed that stage of enjoying those things. He forgot that point.

Highlights : Basic plot

Sunil costumes

few punch dialogues that evoked laughs

Drawbacks : Sunil’s desire to become a star hero

Old cum bad scenes

Heroine

Story, screen play, direction

Music, Editing

Analysis :  Audience who watched the film can not understand what is the relation of the title Jakkanna to the film.  Director completely failed there itself.  He used popular name of Rajamouli as he did not have enough confidence on his movie. Or he might have tried for the craze with the title. His point is very good.  But if could have written story and screen play based on that point the movie could have become  a commercial film plus a good film with a strong story. What happened we don’t know but he killed the original thought.  He showed old Srinu Vaitla scenes in the name of comedy without even recycling them. Sunil said to be fixed in his mind that all the others including villain should do comedy except him.  He focused on heroism.  That is the reason why there is no link between Ganesh character and his acting.  If a uninspiring point made this way, there is no need to feel sad but the film has a good point and they have killed it.  Everybody in the industry should feel sad about it.  Jakkanna should have become a good film if they have followed the original point.  But they made it a Srinu Vaitla format film and made it a mess.

Final word  : Jakkanna should have come in 90’s but he came now.

Audience Opinion :  We could not understand it is an old movie… or a new movie..!
