King St. Anthropologie prepped for Friday opening
After months of work to remove the smell of Abercrombie & Fitch cologne from the 7,500 square foot space, womens retail and home furnishing chain Anthropologie is set to open on Friday in the King St. storefront formerly occupied by the tween outfitter between Wentworth and Hassell St. City officials are welcoming the opening as an asset to the popular shopping district along King St. The company tweeted on Tuesday: "Let’s hear it for no more driving to Anthro in Myrtle Beach!"

Boeing exec addresses union activity at N. Charleston plant

Charleston school board elects new chair, welcomes new member
Two-year chair of Charleston County School Board Chris Fraser welcomed the end of his reign over the board, saying he'd reached his limit amid ongoing squabbles on the board. After welcoming a newly-appointed member, the board elected Cindy Bohn Coats as its new leader.
