SINGAPORE: A day after it was set up, a tribute corner at Tanjong Katong Primary School (TKPS) is overflowing with bouquets, toys and condolence cards, for the lives lost to a 6.0-magnitude earthquake in Sabah on Friday (Jun 5).

Six students and a teacher from the school died in the disaster, along with an adventure guide accompanying them on an excursion up Mount Kinabalu. A student and teacher from TKPS are still missing.

Among the visitors who have come to leave notes - ministers, the President of Singapore Tony Tan Keng Yam, parents of students, students themselves and alumni.

On Tuesday, a day after winning 3-1 in a SEA Games group match against Cambodia, the Singapore under-23 football squad visited the school to pay their respects and interact with some of the students.
