HONG KONG: Hong Kong singer-actress Gillian Chung has revealed that she received a letter of apology from singer-actor Edison Chen, over their 2008 sex photo scandal, reported Hong Kong media.
Racy photos of the pair were leaked when Chen sent his computer for repair, as a technician had copied the photos from Chen’s computer and released them online. Chung’s reputation was badly affected by the scandal.
Some time after the incident, they crossed paths again – Chen and Chung were seated close to each other on a plane. Chung asked to have her seat changed as she did not know how to face Chen.
Chen later wrote a lengthy letter to apologise for the incident while on the plane, and had it delivered to her.
“A late apology letter is better than none at all. To me, it is a consolation,” said Chung in a recent interview.
She added that she is not jealous of Twins bandmate Charlene Choi, who has seen her career grow from strength to strength over the years, while Chung is struggling to recover from the scandal. Chung said she intends to do her best to catch up with Choi, though it has proved to be a difficult task so far.
