Athletes and coaches from the northwest have the chance to network this weekend.
Engage Sport North are exposing the kind of opportunities there are when it comes people interested in play sports in Northern BC.
Emmy Bloomfeild is a manager with Engage Sport North and she says it’s always important to engage with people in the areas that may not be close to bigger amenities.
Bloomfield says they’re also offering workshops and courses for coaches to become more qualified.
Key note speakers including former World Champion in speed skating, Jay Morrision who grew up playing sports in Northern BC.
The event kicks off Friday (October 14th) and wraps up on Sunday (October 16th). It’s taking place at the Terrace Sportsplex.
