There are several free kids activities this weekend:

Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinic: on Saturday (2/8), from 10 – 11 am, visit Lowe’s to build a free Love Note Holder. The workshops are geared for children from about 1st-5th grade, and parents need to remain with their child. The first 50 kids to sign up get a kit, work apron, and safety goggles for free. You should register for the workshop to ensure you will receive a kit.

Lakeshore Learning Store: on Saturday (2/8), from 11 am – 3 pm, visit Lakeshore Learning Center to create a free Heart Shaped Card Holder.

Michaels: visit Michaels next week for several FREE Family Craft Time Events, including a Love Bug Card on Monday (2/10) between 5 and 7 pm, a Valentine’s Day Frame on Wednesday (2/12) between 10 am and noon, and a Tissue Paper Heart on Wednesday (2/12) between 5 and 7 pm.

American Girl Store: check their site for various events going at stores across the country, including Isabelle’s Paper Doll Fashion Craft taking place on 2/6 and 2/13 at many stores.

Toys R Us: visit Toys R Us on Saturday (2/8) between 12 and 2 pm for a free LEGO Movie Building Event.  You can build Emmet’s car and enter a raffle for LEGO prizes and toys.

Pottery Barn Kids: Visit starting 2/7 through 2/14 for an Oh Happy Day! Valentine’s Station with special events and activities.  Plus, there’s Cookie Decorating on Saturday (2/8), but you’ll need an RSVP.

National Parks: Visit your local national park next weekend (2/15 through 2/17) for FREE during the President’s Day fee-free weekend.

Target: Check for FREE museum events in a city near you

Walmart:  there are several in-store events this weekend. Check your local store for hours and participation
