The Downtown Arts District, Tacatantán Records and Pink Hair Productions are co-producing the Fourth Annual Dia de los Muertos & Monster Factory Exhibit.  The opening night block party will take place on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 6 – 11 p.m., at CityArts Factory and Pine Street as part of the Downtown Arts District’s Third Thursday Gallery Hop.

On Thursday, October 17, 2013, Pine Street (Orange Ave. to Court St.) will be closed for live music provided by Tacatantán Records, Macabre Cirque performance by Phantasmagoria, high energy art performance by Salvador Live, giant Mojiganga puppet procession, Dia de los Muertos Ofrendas, live dance performance by ME Dance, art and food vendors, photo booth and a kids craft area.  For a more dramatic effect, face painting will be available.  The cost will be a $5 donation at the entrance.

The exhibit will run through Friday, November 15 during regular hours (Tuesday – Saturday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.) at CityArts Factory located in the heart of Downtown Orlando’s Arts District at 29 S. Orange Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801.   The simultaneous exhibitions will feature the work of local artists in the theme of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) and Monsters (Halloween) including three haunting murals.  All the artwork in the Third Annual Dia de los Muertos & Monster Factory Exhibit will be available for purchase.  For more information about the Third Thursday Gallery Hop & Art Walk visit www.orlandoslice.com.
