The Company plans to garner No.1 Position in the LED TV segment in the current fiscal, reiterating Toshiba’s position as one of the leading consumer technology brand in India.

Our aim is to increase our market share to 15% in FY2013, by being at the forefront of driving the transition from LCD to LED Flat Panel Television.

Augmenting the new launches, Toshiba India has outlined a new marketing campaign – ‘Thinking LEDs’, specifically for its LED TVs, with its brand ambassador, Sachin Tendulkar. The campaign will highlight Toshiba’s superiority over the key attributes that inspire a purchase decision – whether the consumers are thinking about Quality, Performance, Style, Versatility, Power saving or all put together.

·         Think Performance – Toshiba’s patented Regza Engine re-produces high resolution images by using complex calculation to enhance the received signal to the highest video quality. A faster processor also results in a shorter response time, thus offering unmatched picture performance.

·         Think Lifestyle – Inspired by ‘less is more’, the narrow bezel in Toshiba LED TVs ups the fusion of elegance and superior TV viewing experience, making each LED TV a masterpiece that will be acclaimed by home entertainment and design enthusiasts alike.

·         Think Sound – The new LED TV range features a proprietary POWER BASS BOOSTER or High efficient 2X10W speakers which generate harmonics at different frequency intervals. As a result, the depth of the frequency is increased and clarity of the bass sound is strengthened leaving the user with a powerful yet a clear sound.

·         Think Power Saving – Toshiba LED TVs are not just energy efficient, but save energy as well. The AutoView feature monitors the room brightness and adjusts the backlight to maintain maximum needed contrast, thereby reducing the running costs by lowering power consumption.

Alongside the launch of the new LED TV range, Toshiba India also announced the launch of its new range of innovative PCs.

To secure the targeted market share, Toshiba will significantly invest in increasing its dealer network and point of sales from the current 6000 to 8000. Complimenting the distribution and marketing support for the new product launches, Toshiba India will also strengthen it’s after sales service network from the current 450 service centers. In addition to the service network spread across 400 cities, Toshiba India has also set up a dedicated call centre which is operational on all 7 days between 8:00am to 10:00pm.
