Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya mounted an exhibition of tribal and folk paintings by traditional amateur and budding artists at security hold area of Raja Bhoj International Airport Bhopal.

The exhibition has been inaugurated by Mr. Alok Sanjar (Honourable Member, Parliamentary committee on Tourism & Culture and Honourable Member of Parliament, Bhopal), Mr. Rameshwar Sharma (MLA, Huzur constituency) and Mr. Vishnu Khatri (MLA, Berasia) with Mr. K. Gunashekharan (Director, Bhopal Airport) and Prof. Sarit K. Choudhuri (Director, Manav Sangrahalaya) today July 15, 2015. Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Sanjar said “The contribution of Manav Sangrahalaya in promoting and publicizing the regional art of Madhya Pradesh is exemplary and this art gallery will promote art of Madhya Pradesh at international level”.

MLA from Huzur constituency, Mr. Rameshwar Sharma said “Manav Sangrahalaya should mount photographic exhibitions of all art forms of Madhya Pradesh at the empty spaces available inside the Bhopal international airport and also should mount various exhibitions at the fairs in different towns and villages displaying the rich art and culture of Madhya Pradesh”.

The airport director, Mr. K Gunashekaran, said “This art gallery will promote tribal and folk art of India amongst the art lovers and will also provide financial benefit to traditional amateur and budding”.    Director, IGRMS, Prof Sarit K Choudhuri said Sangrahalaya will organise an artist’s workshop by traditional artists of Madhya Pradesh and mount the paintings.
