Celtic Music Radio will be for the first time involved in participating in a major event within the Fringe Festival of the Edinburgh International Festival 2013.

Celtic Music Radio will be at The Acoustic Music Centre at St Bride’s which operates annually for the three weeks of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The majority of the performances fall into the very broad description of roots/acoustic/Celtic music and the ‘AMC  @ St Bride’s’ features some of its greatest exponents.  As the venue hosting the majority of this music on the Fringe, it is the place to be.

The Acoustic Music Centre @ St Bride’s is at 10 Orwell Terrace, Haymarket, Edinburgh EH11 2DZ  and has two comfortable performance spaces and bar and restaurant facilities.

Celtic Music Radio will be broadcasting live the Danny Kyle Open Stage Winners 2013 on Wednesday 7 August from 8.00pm and will feature Genesee (pictured left), a Kenyan singer-songwriter with an album due for release in summer 2013. Influences range from Odetta, Paul Simon to Alex Chilton, Cat Power and the great, grey city of Glasgow.

Taylor & Leigh (pictured below) with their self-penned country blues is soulful and blisteringly hot. Heather has the voice of an angel with the power of a hurricane. Alex’s guitar playing simply takes your breath away. They already have three albums available on iTunes.  A must-see live act. To complete the evening will be Mulk, an experimental band fusing different sounds, influences and genres together to, make awesome  new sounds!

Liz Clark will introduce these performers live on Celtic Music Radio on Wednesday 7 August from 8.00pm.  Listen online and other devices including laptops, Tunein app and use our iPhone and iPad apps plus 1530AM around the Glasgow area.

The second live broadcast from the Acoustic Music Centre will be the second concert of the Danny Kyle Open Stage Winners 2013 featuring Gria, Elliott Morris and Low-Kirkpatrick.

If you want to come along in person to enjoy these performances, entry is by ticket at just £10.00 (£8) for each night and can be purchased at AMC @ St. Bride’s box office on 0131 668 2019 or through the Edinburgh Fringe box office on 0131 226 0000.  Book these shows online at Fringe box office and book online at Queen’s Hall Edinburgh.
