The theme for this week’s Gluten-Free Menu Swap is Entertaining. With Christmas and New Year parties this month, entertaining with gluten-free foods may cause you concern. Whether you are gluten-free, or want to prepare gluten-free meals for friends and family, it doesn’t have to be difficult. Stick with whole foods and recipes with simple ingredients. Here are some of the recipes we’ve used when entertaining friends and family.

Christmas Day – Smoked Beef Brisket, Oven-Roasted Potatoes, Spinach Salad, Pumpkin Pie

Thursday – leftovers

Friday – Easy Garlic Shrimp Pasta with Green Beans

Saturday – Grilled Flank Steak, Steak Fries, Steamed Broccoli

Sunday – Chicken Chili served over rice

Mom’s Plans: Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free Menu

Melissa is planning for holiday parties, by making Banana Bread (gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, sugar-free) and gluten-free pretzels dipped in melted chocolate chips (allergen-free Enjoy Life brand). She’s also planning a special breakfast for Christmas morning with a Blueberry Buckle and Sausage. For dinners this week, her family with be eating Salmon, Pork Chops, Hamburger Soup, Sausage and Peppers, Ham for Christmas, Ground Beef Goulash, and Cabbage and Ham Sauté.
