Don’t you love all the warm aromatics that spices add to the season and holiday spirit? This month at the Gluten-Free Menu Swap we’re going to be sharing ideas for adding Seasonal Scents, or Holiday Spices, to our meals.

This week’s theme is Cinnamon. I love the smell and taste of cinnamon. I’ve been drinking Cinnamon Apple Spice Tea for about a month now. For dinner this week, I’ll also be enjoying cinnamon with Salmon, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Curry Chicken Salad, Cooked Carrots, Indian Chicken, and Corn Tortilla Chips.

Later this month, I’ll also be baking with cinnamon in:

Apple Pie with Crumb Topping

Banana Coffee Cake (dairy-free, casein-free, lactose-free)

Beignets

Cinnamon Rolls

Snickerdoodles

and even Cinnamon Ornaments to keep the scent lingering in the house!

I’m hoping to add some new cinnamon recipes to my Pinterest account, so let me know what your favorite recipes are for cinnamon.

Don’t forget to check below our menu for more gluten-free menus, meals, and ideas for including cinnamon in your meals.

The Girl Who Couldn’t Eat Anything: eating without Gluten, Dairy, Peanuts, Oats, or Meat
Elisabeth buys cinnamon in bulk because she uses it a lot. This week she’s adding it to sautéed apples, Apple Cider Donuts, Grain Free Pumpkin Bread, and Apple Cinnamon Waffles. She even added it to her Mashed Potatoes for lunch yesterday. Dinners at her house this week will include Clam Chowder, Fish, Apple Ginger Carrot Soup, Veggie Soup, and Pizza.

Check back later to see who else may be sharing their gluten-free menus, recipe links, and ideas for including cinnamon in your meals.
