Early last year I wrote about a new addition to the Kind Snacks product line, the Healthy Grains Bars. The Vanilla Blueberry became a staple snack for me paired with a handful of almonds or a piece of string cheese. The bars reminded me of the granola bars that I had not been able to have since I began the gluten-free diet in 2006.

Last week I received an email with some exciting product information about the KIND Healthy Grains Bars line. There are some new varieties being added to the line-up and they all sound delicious! More from KIND Healthy Snacks:

At KIND, we believe that you shouldn’t have to make sacrifices when you look to snack,” says KIND’s EVP of Marketing, Lisa Mann. “When we launched KIND Healthy Grains Bars, we created a more complete granola bar that does not require people to choose between crunchy and chewy textures. With the addition of these new varieties, we continue to deliver on this brAND® promise, combining indulgent flavors and wholesome super grains.

According to the USDA’s Dietary Guidelines for Americans, adults and children ages nine and above should make at least half of their daily grain intake consist of whole grains.* All KIND Healthy Grains bars are made with the highest quality ingredients, including a foundation of five super grains –gluten free oats, millet, quinoa, amaranth and buckwheat –which provide at least 18g of whole grains per bar. Additionally, all new offerings are gluten free, non GMO and low in sodium.

The new varieties are:

KIND Healthy Grains Popped Salted Caramel

KIND Healthy Grains Popped Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt

KIND Healthy Grains Caramel Macchiato

KIND Healthy Grains Dark Chocolate Mocha

KIND Healthy Grains Peanut Butter Berry

All five of the new varieties will join the five current varieties and should be available online and in stores nationwide beginning May 1, 2015. The MSRP is $3.99/box of five bars, though I often see the current varieties on sale for under $3.00 at my local grocery store.

Have you tried any of the KIND Healthy Grains Bars? Which is your favorite?
