“Soar to New Heights”
When we see an eagle high atop mountains or even above the clouds, it has a wider scope of all of life. The majestic eagle with keen skills of observation moves with the jet stream scanning the landscapes below. It is free to move and to soar to new heights. With the arrival of New Moon in Gemini and Solar Eclipse on May 20th, 2012, we will open a new chapter in our lives as symbolized by the symbolism of a Solar Eclipse. Being objective and observing will help us navigate the “variety of aspects happening around the New Moon in Gemini. It’s a time that will leave a lasting impression upon our being and stimulate the mind and possibly bring excitement.
The Solar Eclipse will symbolically turbo-charge the energy of the New Moon in Gemini and all of the aspects surrounding it. So don’t give into superstition or get spooked regarding the Solar Eclipse. There is nothing to fear but there may be a lot of opportunities. Get ready to be whisked off your feet. The New Moon/ Solar Eclipse at 0 degrees Gemini – happens at 7:23 pm EDT // 4:23 pm PST. It will be visible from Asia, Eastern Europe, North America, Greenland, Arctic and north Pacific Oceans. Remember that Eclipses come in pairs and the second of this pair is a Lunar Eclipse on June 4th, 2012 but more on this later.
The astrological sign of Gemini represents the archetype of the “Networker, Student and Social Butterfly” amongst others. This highly logical and intellectual sign appreciates connecting the dots and sharing information it gathers. This Solar Eclipse and New Moon in Gemini sparks up new beginnings within the mental energy field and within the mind. There may be potential new ideas forming and swirling.
A new moon phase within the lunar cycle is a wonderful time to set new intention(s), plant new seeds, create a new opportunity or start a new routine and or habit. You must get your intention and inspired ideas set to go. It is an golden opportunity you don’t want to miss it since it is super-energized by the Solar Eclipse.
The “mutable” signs; Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, Sagittarius reminds us to be adaptable, flexible, versatile and have the ability to start or finish things. When the Mutable energy is off-balance – there is way too much distraction, overly scattered and excess stimulation or over analyzing with the rational mind. Sometimes the sign of Gemini creates a “Peter Pan syndrome” where a person wants to be childish and never grow up. On the positive potential, we will always have our eternal Divine Inner Child within yet we must mature, use our wisdom and grow too.

Venus is already Retrograde in Gemini at the time of the New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Gemini on May 20th. Old or past issues are prominent themes around the topics of love, values, relationships, friendships, networking and exchanging ideas. Past thoughts or ideas or interesting opportunities surface for you to weigh out. For some relationships, the weak spots become glaringly obvious and therefore there may be sadness or realizations occurring now. It is helpful to trim away superficial relationships and keep only those that are quality, meaningful and valuable. The retrograde phase is extremely helpful as it can help you sort resolve past issues and clean up the energy.
The New Moon in Gemini makes a ‘Square’ aspect to Neptune in Pisces. Does it sounds soggy or water logged? Yes, it is very possible. An internalized jumbled mess until things are sorted out. This aspect symbolizes, there can be confusion, deception, anxiety and uncertainty surrounding this aspect as thoughts and feelings are being mixed up on the inside of you with a sense of there’s no way out. It’s as if logic and feeling are clashing with each other.
We need to understand what is fantasy or illusion and what is real and factual. We have to find a way to transform the limitation into freedom and to bring harmony to thoughts and feelings so there is clarity. Sorrow, tears, anxiety and even a bit of high strung energy is possible now. Healing can take place to help open up the heart energy center. We may see where compassion and empathy is a necessity to heal and move forward into new beginnings. The potential of this aspect is: It is wise to understand things from a Spiritual perspective and then it makes sense on a logically level. Our thoughts may be Spiritualized by this process. Hearts and feelings could expand quickly.
Venus in Gemini ‘Trine’ Saturn in Libra retrograde at the 23 degree mark. This represents a very positive energy towards love, relationships and creative projects. On a romantic level, affections may become more solidified and develop strongly now. You’ll want to “talk about” things. A commitment or agreement that began in the past with a “What if…” may become more tangible now. It is possible that past ideas regarding business or creative project advance in small steps now. For others, affections and interests may cool down or become distant.
We may be on the receiving end of help from those in position of authority, higher status or someone well established. With Venus retrograde, look for renewals of connections both personal and business. It is possible friendships mature or a new level of responsibility forms within the relationship. Enjoy flirting, dating, friendships and deeply savor the moments spent with each other. Cherish the treasures that are manifesting easily now.
Also during the time of the New Moon/Solar Eclipse, is Mercury/Jupiter building to a Conjunction in Taurus. This gives a some what symbolic stability to the otherwise zippy mental energy happening. Though certain thoughts seem magnified now and we may give into our desires. Promise or agree to only what you can deliver. We have solid strength to access and bring out ideals into reality with that which is highly valuable to us. By the way, do your best not to be overly stubborn. Listen to what is being said and then make the decision.

We may hear about Earth changes during the time of the eclipse (about 1 week before and after) ; floods, heavy rains, earthquake or dramatic fluctuations in weather, issue with waterway or Ocean. Global issue(s) may arise and be exposed. There may be something in the news which activates the need for Global Compassion as well as empathy. Be the peace and therefore you send that vibe out into the world.
Remember, that each astrological aspect has something valuable to teach and offer us so that we move with the higher stream of evolution. It is about becoming more and more conscious, empowered and aware. Who we are, what our higher purpose is and how to express it with the utmost integrity in the physical world.
