The names of the threesome couple are just a click away but ridiculously, we can’t publish them
In the past few weeks, you’ll have heard numerous stories about high profile celebrities using High Court injunctions to stop publications, like Now, from naming them in stories they’d like to brush under the carpet.
On Thursday 19 May things look set to change, as the married celebrity couple who took out an injunction to stop details of one of them having an extra marital threesome coming to light, were expected to be named but the injunction was upheld.

Incredibly, the married actor has now been named in the US press, while PJS – the name we give to the couple – have also been identified in the US, Australia and Scotland.
Eventually – if the case goes to trail – the Supreme Court in the UK could be set to change all of this. They will decide whether to name PJS, after the Court of Appeal overturned the gagging order. This could have huge repercussions for at least 15 other high profile individuals – who may also see their injunctions turned over.
Remember in August 2015, when a world famous sportsman stopped a national newspaper from revealing details of his affair with a female celebrity? And the ‘figure of trust’ female celeb who was granted an injunction to stop details of her affair with a famous, married man being leaked.
This ruling could see them all facing new legal battles to stop them from being named.

Earlier this month you may remember another injunction, which was taken out in 2011, came to light. A British actor – a well-known family man – who’s gagged the British press from naming him after he allegedly used the services of former sex worker Helen Wood – best known for her affair with footballer Wayne Rooney.
So why are we writing about it and why can’t we name them? An injunction, in most well-known cases, will be obtained from a judge by an individual’s legal team that will stop the media from publishing a story. This isn’t for the common man, with each injunction costing around £25,000 to start proceedings. Right now, it’s believed PJS legal bill is a six figure sum. Breaching the order carries a criminal punishment.
So will all be revealed eventually? We’ll keep you updated.
