It seems that the honeymoon might be over before the wedding was even planned. Famed pop/country singer Taylor Swift and her DJ boyfriend Calvin Harris have officially broken off their relationship.
Although neither side’s representation has made an official statement yet, sources close to the former couple have confirmed that TayCal (hey, I tried) is no more. This news comes only two weeks after Harris was in a horrible car accident that forced him to cancel many of his shows on his 2016 tour schedule. Ouch, double whammy.
After dating for over a year and a half, the famously on-and-off-again singer who has dated the likes of John Mayer, Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, and even one of the Kennedy children, Conner, is single again. And you know what that means…

Swift has made a career off of writing about her past heartbreaks, even calling out some of her ex-flames in her songs by name like in “Dear John” a song about John Mayer that talks about how an older man mercilessly played with her heart:
Dear John, I see it all now that you’re gone
Don’t you think I was too young to be messed with?
The girl in the dress, cried the whole way home, I should’ve known
Well maybe it’s me and my blind optimism to blame

We hope the best for both Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris. Hopefully both can move past this heartbreak and keep on rockin’ our speakers through the summer.
