BAFTA 2017: La La Land has 9 nods in key categories
A day after La La Land secured a historic win at the Golden Globe Awards, the nominations for upcoming British Academy Film Awards were announced and unsurprisingly, the film is again leading nominations with nine nods. Director Damien Chazelle and actors Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone also won a Globe each for La La Land. They are all nominated again in BAFTA, which is considered the British counterpart of prestigious Academy Awards, scheduled to take place later in February. The 70th edition of the British Academy Film Awards will be held at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall on February 12.
