All of us know how important it is to have strong passwords to each of our email addresses, social networking sites, bank accounts, driving license details, etc.

Infact, it is strongly recommended NOT to go for a single password to access all your accounts, because if a hacker manages to break through that one password, he will have access to all your personal information. No matter how strong or safe that ONE password is/ was.

Now the problem is- how to remember all those passwords?

There are dozens of apps over the Google play store and the Apple store that help you store all your passwords.

Which brings us to another problem: How to decide which of these apps is the best and most dependable?

You are, after all, going to share all your passwords.

One of the best apps I have come across in the recent times is 1Password by AgileBits.

1Password App- Features And Review

1Password is a password manager app that allows you to store safely locked up besides taking care of any other data which you might want to track regularly without fear of it getting stolen or misused. Like your taxation details, passport related data, addresses, etc.

The best thing about this app is its user friendly interface.

Very plain and easy to navigate.

Yet not failing to make an impact.

The various icons and controls have been so arranged on the hone screen that they are all available in a single glance, making it easy for almost anyone to be able to manage all his/ her passwords and other confidential information with ease.

The most delightful feature of 1password is the fact that it is available for Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad and Android.

Says the official website:

1Password is a password manager that goes beyond simple password storage by integrating directly with your web browser to automatically log you into websites, enter credit card information, fill registration forms, and easily generate strong passwords.

Your passwords, identities, and credit cards, are just some of the confidential information that 1Password stores in one secure place, protected by the only password you will need to remember.

You can download it by clicking on the link given below:

Download

Tap on the easily visible “+” icon on the home screen to get access to the Menu which will show you the various data categories. For instance, email details, credit card one time password, Facebook password, Paypal id and so on.

To begin with, it automatically synchronizes your data across various devices (like your smartphone/ iPhone, your iPad/ Tablet, your desktop at office and your laptop at home) using the Dropbox and the iCloud.

Click on the relevant category and fill in all the data you need to store away safely for future reference in the boxes on the next page. As you do that, all your entries get stored in the main app. You further have the option to arrange this data into different folders, just in case you would want to store your work related data, your financial records and your social networking passwords in different categories.

Another fabulous feature about this app is the inbuilt secure web browser. Which means that just in case you want to log in to your bank account, it allows you the option to automatically enter your credit card details or passwords for you without the need for you having to do it manually each time you are shopping online.

1password also has an automatic strong password generator which will randomly help you generate strong passwords, in case you think any of them are too weak. Though such passwords which contain a combination of upper and lower space characters, numbers and some special characters on the keyboard are difficult to remember, the fact that this app does it for you should leave you with no reason to worry at all.

Needless to add, the app is super safe.

All your data stored inside it is protected by a master password. The cherry on the cake is that this data is stored in an encrypted form. Which means, that even if your device gets stolen, lost or misplaced, your data or information is not at ANY risk at all.

If you want to have access to all its features, you might want to go in for a premium or paid version of it. That costs $18 for iOS.

Though the basic Android version is available for free download at the Google play store, it does not allow you to have access to all these wonderful features. You have to pay for it only once to get it for all your Apple/ Android devices.

Considering that data theft and losing passwords are major causes of concern to all of us these days, I would say that this app is well worth the small price it comes for!

I just got the basic version on my Android device yesterday and am so much in love with it that I already made up my mind to buy the premium version today. But not without sharing all that I do know about it with all my beloved readers.

If any of you are already using 1Password to save all your passwords, do share your experiences about the same with us here.
