Gujarat Public service Commission was formed on 1st May 1960 as per the provision made by the constitution of India. The function of this commission is to conduct examinations for appointment to the services of the State of Gujarat. GPSC Recruitment Educational Qualification & Age Limit
Assistant Professor: Candidate must have completed Ph.D in Maths for Mathematics subject, B.E. / B.Tech., M.E. / M.Tech. in discipline for remaining subjects.
Candidates must be aged not more than 35 years as on 09th Dec 2015 to be considered eligible for the post. Age relaxation will be done for reserved quota. Upper age limit will be relaxed by 5 years for SC, ST, SEBC & Unreserved (Female) candidates and for 10 years for SC, ST, Women candidates belonging to SEBC category of Gujarat Origin only.
Lecturer: Applicant must have done PG in relevant Subject for some subjects and B.E./ B.Tech, M.E./ M.Tech in discipline for remaining subjects.

Associate Professor: Aspirant should have possessed Ph.D. in Engineering or Technology with Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of Engineering or Technology with First Class or equivalent grade point at Bachelor’s or Master’s level obtained from any of the Universities established incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government; and must have at least five years of combined or separate experience in teaching or industry or research.
Maximum age of the candidate applying for the above post should not be more than 45 years. The age relaxation will be available for backward class or reserved candidates only.
