The Union Public Service Commission is going to conduct UPSC Combined Defence Services II Examination 2016 at various exam centers across whole India on 23rd October 2016. The candidates, who have already registered for UPSC CDS II Examination, are eligible to participate in the written exam. But the candidates have to download the Admit Card to appear in the exam. The Union Public Service Commission had released an advertisement about UPSC Combined Defence Services II Examination on its official website at www.upsconline.nic.in The Union Public Service Commission invited eligible and enthusiastic candidates for UPSC CDS 2 Examination 2016. A large number of candidates from various regions of India have applied online for UPSC Combined Defence Services I Examination via official website portal. The candidates are waiting for the Admit Card for a long time. But the waiting period is over now as the Union Public Service Commission will have released UPSC CDS II 2016 Exam Date and Admit Card on its official website.
The exam is conducted twice in a year by UPSC for recruitment into four major forces of India, and they are Indian Air Force Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Officers Training Academy and last but not the least Indian Military Academy. Every year huge number of applicants is getting selected, and they are placed into respective Academies. This CDS exam has two phases. First Phase of the exam conduct in May and June and the Second phase will be conducted in October & November at several examination centers.

UPSC CDS II Exam Pattern 2016
The pattern of question paper will be contained multiple choices question answer (Objective Type) only. Each paper consists of 100 marks and Time duration will be of 2 hours. Aspirants who had applied for officer’s Training Academy (OTA) will have to go through two papers that are General knowledge and English only. For Naval Academy, Indian Military Academy and Indian Air force Academy three papers are there are as follows:

UPSC CDS II Selection Procedure
The selection procedure of the candidates for the training programme of different Indian Defense Academies through of Combined Define Services Examinations includes Interview and Special Tests, apart from the written tests. Candidates, who qualify the written test, undergo interview and a series of intelligence and personality tests. The tests, both verbal and non-verbal, are designed not only to judge the mental caliber of the candidate but also to assess his social traits and awareness in current affairs.
UPSC conducts a written examination for all applicants who apply for CDS examination. Candidates, who are successful in the written examination, are called for Personality Test/ Interview.
Interview (Personality Test) Candidates selected after the written test, go through a SSB (Service Selection Board) Interview process that lasts from one to five days. The interview is held in two stages – Stage I & Stage II. Stage I includes Intelligence tests & Picture Perception test. Only candidates, who clear stage I tests, are eligible for Stage II Interview. Stage II involves Interview, Group Testing Officers Tasks & Psychology Tests.
Document Verification: Candidates, who clear the Interview (Personality Test), are recommended for document verification round. Medical Examination: Medical examination is conducted for all candidates, who are recommended by the SSB for the service. The tests are conducted to check the physical and mental fitness of candidates.
